"Location in run down area but close to Independence Plaza where bus services stop. The room we had was on the 10th floor and suffered from the noise the lifts make at all hours. We were offered a room change but couldn't face packing and unpacking again. Staff were helpful and friendly. I asked for a bill and it was emailed to me. "Nice modern hotel. Area is quiet and away from the crowds in the old city. It’s also cleaner and nicer. The hotel is also steps away from the beach. Room is functional and well decorated and designed. Clean and housekeeping is done everyday at a reasonable time (unlike some other hotels that often has it done late afternoon). Staff is also competent and warm."

"Very dissatisfied. Room smell like sewage. There were no bug screen on windows for us to allow windows to remain open to ventilate space. Electrical outlets did not work in the bathroom, kitchen fan was not working. And at checkout the lady accused us of tearing the fabric window curtains. We tried to explain they were like that when walked in. And she said she doubted that. And was rude about it. Mattress were so thin you could feel the wooden boards "

"The room was tiny but fine. Rustic. The bathroom had been renovated and was nice. The carpet in the halls is less than fine. Might have been red at some point but is now black from age. Location was great for walking to the water and food and shopping. Staff was there but not as warm as most hospitality staff I found. Maybe because we didn’t speak much English. lol. That’s on me. If you have a tight budget it is clean and location is great. Air conditioning worked. Wifi worked. Breakfast was good. Kitchen staff were very sweet. "

Comfortable stay for remote work

"My stay at Faroa de Carrasco was wonderful. The apartment is really comfortable and had everything I needed for my 6 night stay. The a parent has 2 spacious rooms and bathrooms, great heating system, and strong wifi, which was perfect as I was working remotely from the apartment. I stayed on the 9th floor and also had amazing views and lots of sunlight. The booking, check in and check out was easy and smooth. I couldn't recommend Faroa de Carrasco enough and would definitely stay here again. "
