"Tapada da Beirã was a charming villa, it had everything we could have wished for, the hosts were lovely and were on hand with advice and knowledge of the area. Plenty of outdoor spaces to relax or eat al fresco and a super swimming pool. You need a car to get around, the nearest shop is in Santo António das Areias. About 20 steps from the Villa is a lovely restaurant and the food was amazing as were the staff."

"Wir waren Ende Februar hier; da konnte es nachts recht kühl werden. Schön, dass es einen Kaminofen mit kostenlosem Heizholz gab und die Klimaanlage im Notfall auch heizte. Jedes Schlafzimmer verfügt über ein eigenes Bad - man kann für größere Gruppen auch Wohnungen verbinden. Unsere Wohnung ("Landhaus") hatte eine gut ausgestattete Küche mit vorgelagerter, überdachter Veranda, von der man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Garten und die Umgebung bis zur Burg von Marvao hatte. "We stayed at El Molino, a converted mill tucked away on the Puerto Roque property. This is a tranquil, beautiful spot, with a small stream trickling below the windows. Due to its country location and our arrival later in the evening, we were delighted to find coffee, juice, milk, and breakfast items already stocked in the fridge and pantry. Being here felt like staying in someone's cherished retreat. "
