I found the service welcoming and friendly in the mercados (markets) tendas (convenience stores) and Sodas (small restaurants). Photographers i recommend Dave & Dave's and Frogs Heaven.

"Stayed one night with family. Booked 2 rooms w 2 queens, but was put in 2 rooms with only 1 king sized bed instead. Stay was fine for our purposes. It was a busy holiday period and breakfast in the morning was a nightmare and extremely crowded."

We stayed here to break up the drive between La Fortuna/Arenal and Tortuguero. It was a wonderful treat. We went white water rafting one day, and hiked La Selva the other day and then drove to catch the boat in La Pavona to get to Totuguero relaxed
