This river-side getaway is the perfect space for your next family vacation, Mississippi River fishing trip, or boating adventure. This property features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, and a screened in porch, perfect to watch the sunrise and sunset. This house comes fully equipped with kitchen plates, pots/pans, utensils, laundry, and linens-everything you need to feel at home! Enjoy using the gas grill and fire pit on the front patio of the home while overlooking the river. A fishing dock/boat slip is also an amenity that will be provided for your stay at no cost at all.

We loved being able to use the private dock to dock our boat and also playing cards in the screened in sun room.

This was a great house in a great location. The view of the river was great, and the short drive to Lansing's shops was helpful. John and Jane were great hosts. They were very responsive to requests and proactive in making sure we were taken care of as guests. We would stay here again.

Lovely place to stay right on the river with wonderful amenities. Kitchen was well stocked, and all the communication with the owners was great. We could hear the trains but weren’t overly disturbed by them. We’ll definitely consider booking again for a future trip to Lansing!

Weekend away to ice fish and the guys could do so right off the dock and in that area. House was very nice, clean and we would definitely like to go back. Good communication with host. House had all the necessities. Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

A perfect getaway place
This is a wonderful home that is extremely clean with very comfortable bedding which you do not always find on rentals. The view is stunning. The kitchen is fully stocked and their was plenty of seating for our family of 4. I'm already looking at the calendar to plan another stay but this time I'm brining my boat.

Beautiful property on the river
Everything in the property was very clean and made for a nice comfortable stay. The whole family loved the screened in porch to enjoy the views outside and avoid the bugs. The town is cute and has a few places that we visited throughout our week long stay. The only downside was the trains but the property overall was worth it! Thanks for a great stay :)

Great Weekend Getaway!
Really a nice property on the Mississippi River! Very updated, kitchen stocked well, linens and towels were very good quality. Patio furniture comfortable, and was able to come inside at night for games on the screened-in patio portion. Even the trains coming through had some charm and it wasn't a bother. Host was very communicative, helpful, and kind.

The best family Christmas location!
The property was beautiful. Overlooking the frozen Mississippi River with snow on the bluffs, we watched people ice fishing. The house and amenities were perfect. Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the town of Lansing with the little shops and a good pizza place! The kids had sleds and they spent two days sledding down the hill by the house. A good time was had by all!!!

We truly enjoyed this property. The views are spectacular. The property is clean and very comfortable. The hosts really want their renters to have the best time. They have many things to use at the property and were more than willing to give us ideas on places to go see and things to do. The one disappointment was that the fire pit didn't work. The trains are not too much of a bother. I would stay here again!

Enjoyable time in Lansing
My family had a restful two days at this property in Lansing! The house was completely remodeled and felt fresh and clean with up-to -date everything! Not being on the main channel of the river made the water languid and peaceful, perfect for boating and fishing (but if you want to sit back and enjoy the river traffic, you only get a small glimpse of the main channel through a gap of trees in the distance). That wasn’t a problem for us and we enjoyed fishing off the dock . The daily rental costs may have been a little high, but we booked at the last minute and we’re very glad to have this as a stop in our road trip. The owner was quick to respond and had the rental well-equipped and ready to use when we pulled in. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Great Stay
Very nice fully renovated. Everything was new inside and out. Nice location on the river, roughly a mile from downtown Lansing. Yes, the tracks are close, but I believe we only incurred a couple of trains the two evenings we stayed. We were away from the site during the days visiting family. Good soundproofing so train noise was minimal IMO. We planned for 8, but only had 6 in our family able to attend. 3 bdrms with queens, one bdrm had an additional day bed, and there was a roll-away style twin bed that we could have used in the common area. The description stated common area sleep sofa/futon. (That was the roll-away twin). We'd definitely stay here again.

Thumbs up in every way!
This property is wonderful! The view is amazing, the property was extremely clean and had everything you'd need! There is a train track between the house and the Mississippi River and our 3 year old grandson was so EXCITED to get to see a train so close. There are lots of cars on each train, about 4 a day, but very quiet, didn't disrupt us in any way. The turn in to the drive way is very sharp coming from the south, but the owner warned us, and we followed their directions and had no problems. We had a 5 mo old and a 3 year old, if the kids were a little older I think we would have needed another bedroom, but it worked great to put a pack-n-play in the one bedroom with the daybed. We got along fine. Loved that they didn't short us on towels & washcloths like many places do. VERY NICE and would like to return again!

Great house for a family trip
We had a wonderful time during our stay at Reel Paradise. The views were spectacular, fishing was good, and the home was well kept and comfortable. The hosts are wonderfully friendly as well, and there were lots of personal touches that made it feel nicer than a hotel or bare bones rental. Having a dock available was a huge benefit for our fishing trip. We had plenty of room for 7 people (three kids), and there was a lot of space to hang out both inside and outside. Instructions were clear for check in, check out, property usage, etc. I gave 4 stars for listing accuracy, because the driveway was very steep and awkward to get into and the ramp down to the dock was very steep also. We were able to adjust, but it was kind of a surprise when we got there. These things are understandable based on the lay of the land, we just weren't super prepared for it because we weren't all that familiar with the area.

Just wanted a place to unwind for a few days. This place really offered that with a great view. The town its self was really nice and had some great places to eat. You don’t have to have a boat to enjoy this place! We will back for sure and look forward to it.

Get away vaca!
Loved it so much! The screened-in porch was my spot all week! We sat out there during the storm, the breeze was great and the rain on the water was beautiful. The views were amazing! We have put this place on our return list, definitely!
