"Definitely, a beautiful stay with beautiful views. Checkin process is so easy and host was very quick in response. There is some issue with hot water but other than that we had a really good time. Will definitely book one more time."

Instructed to only use the front entrance, back access was for staff only to camp laundry. Entrance hall light did not work. A/C was turned down to 13C - to mask smoke smell. Sent text re no TV or kitchen linens, reply to provide in morning. TV not fixed. Cottage structure was satisfactory but very dusty & dirty. All...

"We had a big group of 14 people and booked this property on Howe Island. The location was great. It was quite, remote and peaceful, just what we were looking for. The hosts, Courtney and Chris along with their kids were very hospitable and did a great job of hosting us. "Beautiful surroundings and everything you need to enjoy the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Our extended family was up and our cottage down the road was full. This was a wonderful space to be close to family and still have privacy, quiet, and all the conveniences of home. Well appointed, clean and very responsive host. "The house was large, clean and well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space to sit out side by the fire and relax after our bike ride from Ottawa. We enjoyed the ample fire wood Yvonne was great to deal with and very timely in her responses."

"My wife and I spent a wonderful week in September at the Gecieve Opinicon. The cottage is clean and well-appointed with all you need for your stay. There is an incredible view of the water from the property including the sun room and bedroom. We spent many hours on the clear water in the kayaks with plenty of wildlife to see. The stars were beautiful! There is a perfect outdoor area to relax with café lights, a picnic table and a jacuzzi. Our hosts, Alison and David, were very kind and quickly...

"Sprawling and fascinating house full of lovely furniture and objects, so well equipped for vacationers with many lovingly constructed inside and outside spaces. The kitchen was lovely and very well equipped, and the dishwasher worked well though it was very tiny so we had to run it after every meal. The very long catwalk to the dock and gazebo is just remarkable, lit at night with tiny string lights there. Two kayaks and two paddleboards were fun in the water. With the air conditioning on...

"The only issue was the wi-fi. It was so slow and practically useless. One other issue was that the cottage was a part of 4 other cottages which shared a common dock and access to the river, it was not mentioned in the listing. The cottage was clean and very well equipped, and the owner was very friendly."
