"Fabulous!!! My wife and I were looking for a base to stay for 11 days in the Perigord / North Dordogne to allow us to explore the area and found this fantastic "petit chateau" on the outskirts of Thiviers. A large villa in its own extensive garden with plenty of space in which to relax. William the host and Joseph the chef were very friendly, relaxed and attentive. I don't think I've ever felt so 'at home' away from home and the commitment and passion to making every guest feel very welcome is obvious. All houses Salagnac pool. Ideal large family group of friends.

Our experience

"We were group of family and friends stayed in the house. We were bit dissapointed by the property mainly due to:1. The full house is not together but in 2 different section bit detached to each other. This means that everyone cannot stay together in the same house, which was not expected by us and was not even clear in the description of the property.2. The property is in middle of nowhere. It was a kind of ghost village.3. The property is bit different to what it shows in picture.Overall, not a good experience."

Old farmhouse with privat pool- BADEFOLS D'ANS

"The property was gorgeous, clean and the pool was stunning. The kitchen was well equipped. We had a lovely family holiday. Just a couple of points to note. The beds were very very firm, to the point of being uncomfortable. Firm beds are not for us. The listing said hot tub. We hadn’t seen one in the pictures so guessed it was a mis-print, but to confirm there is no hot-tub despite it being listed. The WiFi did not work at all. We called the host who was very good and came straight away but could not fix it. It did not get fixed the entire week we were there. You are in the countryside in an old house so mobile data signal was patchy to non-existent within the property. This can be frustrating when planning days out (or when you have teenagers.) We had a lovely holiday and visited some gorgeous locations in the region. The property was private and clean."

"Gastvrij, vriendelijk, goede uitleg bij aankomst. Schitterende groene, rustige ligging. Alles aanwezig. Extra zwembad en zonneterras in groene oase met hangmat. Absolute aanrader!!"
