ABOUT THIS SPACE
Our Peaceful Wallenpaupack Getaway is just what you think of when you think of relaxing in the mountains. The floor plan is ranch style with someplace for everyone. Nestled in a quiet community on the shore of Lake Wallenpaupack we offer both fun on the lake and rest and relaxation at the house.

THE SPACE
The house is a 3 bedroom 1 bath house and has a large sunroom that has seasonal views of the Big Lake, a living room with wood burning fireplace for those shoulder season chilly nights. Each bedroom has a queen bed and one bedroom has an extra full so sleeping 6 or 8 isn't a problem. The kitchen is modest but has the basic essentials you'll need for your visit. There are 3 TV's and WIFI plus plenty of board games, cards and a firepit outside to help pass the time.
Lake Wallenpaupack is a short walk away. Guests are permitted to use the swim dock and fish from the shoreline.

Hawley and Hamlin are the two closest towns, both within 20 minute drive of the house. There's so much to explore in the area from antiquing, horseback riding, hiking or schedule a fishing guide for the day.

GUEST ACCESS
Access to the property is contactless by lock box. Our Digital Welcome Guide is a complete guide to your arrival, stay and departure for your rental home. The Welcome Guide is sent when the required forms and information is received.
Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: half of the master bedroom closet and one utility closet in the hallway.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE - BOOKING REQUIREMENTS
75% of guests need to be 30 or older with an exception for children traveling with their parents. The remaining 25%, will need to be 25 and over.
This home is for families and respectful guests, it is not a party property. All bookings are required to sign a short-term lease after the booking has been accepted to satisfy community requirements.

WHO WE ARE
This property is managed by a local real estate agent. Property Owners rely on our team to book and manage their home for you and to make sure your rental needs are met. To make sure each property is well maintained, each reservation will require a rental agreement to be signed. The Rental Agreement is posted on this site and is available for review at check out. In addition to the Rental Agreement posted on VRBO, you will receive a Reservation Form that is required to be completed within 48 hours of receipt.
Our communities are also governed by township Rental Ordinances which impose certain rules and regulations for owners.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Our rental management includes 24-hour emergency response for any issues that arise.

Parking - there is room for 4 cars.

Day Guests - Day guests are limited to 4 people.

LAKE INFO
Swimming/Floating in Lake Wallenpaupack is allowed.
Rocky Shoreline access – lake level fluctuates depending on the season.
Spring – Lake levels will be high. The docks do not start getting installed until late April. We do not GUARANTEE any dock in the water before Memorial Day.
Summer – High Water Mark is June 1st. Depending on the weather, the lake levels may come up higher than that making the docks hard to access as their walkways will be underwater. We do our best to make sure they are accessible, but we cannot always get to them on demand.
Fall – Water levels will be lowest, and docks will start to be removed from the lake until the spring. Boats can still be docked, water levels at the end of the docks are still acceptable for boat docking.
Winter – Lake usually freezes, and ice fishing is popular. Any access to the frozen lake is “at your own risk”.

HOUSE RULES
No Smoking inside – smoking outside only. Must not leave any butts and ashes behind
NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns.

Quiet time 11pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. Voices carry at night when it’s quiet. If you are out late at the firepit or on the deck, please keep noise to a minimum.

Public Beach – -Palmyra Township Public Beach is a sandy beach – You do have to pay for entry.
is located on the northeast section of the lake and is home to numerous picnic spaces and pretty waterfront views, and it’s the perfect family-friendly destination. Beachgoers can swim in this lake’s tranquil waters from the park’s access points while enjoying the sun on its sandy shores. Lifeguards on duty, snack bar, volleyball, picnic tables, charcoal grills, and bathroom/changing facilities.

A little disappointing
The property is great, clean and perfect for extra space for family. Unfortunately, there was a power outage, obviously not the fault of the property management , but we had no refrigeration or hot water for half of the rental period. Also the two garbage cans were full to the brim upon our arrival. Fortunately we had very nice neighbors that allowed us to store our food in their refrigerators and dispose of our garbage in their cans. We did reach out to the manager to discuss some form of recompense and did not receive any response. The house itself is clean and spacious for families to enjoy. Just a little disappointed in the overall experience.
