Great location, spacious cabin
Beautiful location in the Toxaway Community. The drive is beautiful and close to Cashiers and Highlands. The cabin was cozy and spacious, with a beautiful backyard featuring a running creek, spacious deck, pond and fire pit. Both double beds being king size was really a plus. We reserved dinner at the Greystone Inn Restaurant twice, and also at a couple nearby restaurants. There was plenty wood stacked outside for the fire place and fire pit. Couple suggestions to make the stay even better would be to leave basic toiletries like soap and shampoo in case someone forgets, additional clean towels and trash bags. The shower drain in the master bedroom is clogged and water drains very slowly. Other than that, highly recommended and would stay again.

Great house, location
We arrived Saturday evening to no heat and a thermostat that wasn't working. Reached out to the property manager and he was instantly communicative. He had someone out the next day to have the unit fixed, and it was a great stay after that! The deck and yard are beautiful and the area is nice, but at least a 30 minute drive to anything.

High on the Mountain
The property itself was great…just wish there had been a view! Our first impression was iffy considering the trouble finding it then with leaves piled in carport, stoop and deck, in front of doorways. Our biggest complaint was lack of information regarding the steepness of the last “leg” to the house as well as the actual driveway. I had to stand in the middle of the road to signal “coast is clear” so hubby could floor it to get up and out the drive every time we went out, (even with a SUV). Perhaps the owner should post “ 4 wheel drive suggested”. CLEARER marking of the property (at road) would also be helpful as we missed it on our first pass, then got all turned around….most other homes had signs in clear view with address and property “name”. Great hikes just up and down the streets and even the driveway! We WOULD rebook if we were to ever venture that “high” again!

House was nice
The amenities were not there for us to enjoy the property. The gas bottles for the grill and fire pit were all empty. We were looking forward to sitting around the firepit and enjoying the porch and using the grill to cook an evening meal. Also there were not any extra paper products for the bathrooms.

Perfect mountain getaway
Came up with our 2 year old and had a wonderful visit. Property was great for our son, including the creek to play in and the enormous deck, which has only one, easy-to-block stairway if you have crawlers/toddlers. We cooked all of our meals there and spent time on the deck in the evenings with gas firepit. All the beds were comfortable, and we couldn't have been happier with our weekend. Also, there is a new leather, reclining loveseat as well as couch in the den, which was great for watching football!

Great home in the mountains of Lake Toxaway
We enjoyed this secluded home in the mountains near Lake Toxaway. Largest deck of any house I've ever seen which makes for great outdoor dining and conversation. Too bad it rained most of the time and couldn't enjoy the outside (July 29-Aug 1). House is a little dated with appliances/hot water heater. Could only get three hot showers in a row. Beds in guest rooms are not great but master bed is really nice. Linens could use updating. Overall, nice property with cute little stream, pond, and fire pit area.

Mountain getaway
We had a great stay! The house was very clean, tons of closet and storage space which allowed us to unpack for the week stay. The backyard area is so private with a huge deck and our kids loved exploring the backyard. We were able to enjoy local hikes, the children’s fishing pond up the street, and rented a boat on Lake Toxaway which was beautiful! The host was very responsive to questions I had during our stay and was so helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Good for the Outdoor Lifestyle Experience
You know those rentals that just /feel/ like a rental; when you first arrive and your first thought is "well, we're not here for the interior."? This is that place- good, not great, could easily be a 5-star/superhost experience. The house was mostly clean but there was a lack of attention to detail in many areas (baseboards, floors, light fixtures, etc.). Linens, towels, and pillows substandard. The oven and stovetop need major cleaning. Water stains in the bathroom ceilings should also be addressed quickly. The deck, the patio furniture, and the grill also needed cleaning as well. We also found it concerning to find at least two outdoor cameras that we weren't made aware of in any communications from the owner. Having said that, the location is perfect for a quiet, secluded, mountain experience (be sure to use Google Maps for GPS and download the map for offline use too). The waterfall and stream running through the backyard provides the perfect soundtrack to your morning coffee or al fresco dinner and drinks by the gas fire pit. The private pond and timer-controlled waterfall matched with an amply-sized wood-burning fire pit round out the outdoor experience. All-in-all, we had a great time reconnecting with our friends in the area and enjoyed the outdoor amenities as much as possible.

This is a beautiful property! The pictures capture the essence of this place but fall short of doing it justice! There is a spring fed stream that flows through the property, a beautiful pond, and the grounds are dotted with hardwood trees. The back deck is massive and has multiple seating areas (one is covered). The fire pit next to the pond and stream is the ideal place to kick back and enjoy this paradise. Thanks

Great Family Getaway!
My husband, two children (ages 6 and 2), and I absolutely loved our stay here! It could have not been a more suitable place for our family. The kids loved the outside area and the proximity to some of our favorite towns (Asheville, Cashiers, and Highlands) couldn't have been better. We will definitely come back to stay agin!
