The main road around the lake is clear, most restaurants and shops have reopened, and grocery stores are fully operational. You may notice ongoing debris removal from the lake and nearby areas, which makes the lake itself unavailable for the time being. The town of Chimney Rock is still in full recovery mode with limited access. With this, we're ready to welcome you, and local businesses are excited to see you!

You are under 45 minutes to downtown Asheville, and less than 10 minutes to the Town of Lake Lure. You are also app. 35 minutes from the Asheville Regional Airport. Home is accessed via only paved and fully maintained roads, right up to the homes private drive.

The home affords year round access, and is great for groups of any and all ages. The home is situated just outside of the Town of Lake Lure, right on Lake Lure, affording privacy for everyone to relax & enjoy the feel of the WNC mountains, and all that Lake Lure affords. Lake Lure is a vacation community, whose residents are friendly and welcoming to guests, (if you even see them, since the neighborhood has private, densely wooded lots that afford amazing privacy).

Get ready to be “wowed” by the never-ending views from this mountain style lake retreat. With soaring vistas, high ceilings, vaulted rooms, and cozy spaces, you will immediately feel at home at Catawba Lake House. (That is of course if you can tear yourself away from the bi-level decks, hot tub & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Lake Lure, & actually venture inside!) The mountain lake home affords a comfortable great room, kitchen, a lower level Game Room, plenty of bedroom/baths, direct dock lake access, and MORE; with plenty of space to unwind and gather with your group. But, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. There are 4 outside porches, decks, and patios, and the private hot tub for ultimate outdoor relaxation.

Lake Lure has so much to offer guests; from swimming, kayaking, boating, hiking and walking trails, streams, and much more. While at Catawba Lake House, everyone enjoys all that the home has to offer; from the Game Room, Great Room electric fireplace, hot tub and of course the spectacular decks, where you can pull up a chair and take in the "sound of silence", observe the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard above and on the lake.

Also available for rent for an additional fee is the 20-foot pontoon which can accommodate up to 14 people. Cruise one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the country and dock at Catawba Lake House. No personal watercraft is permitted to use the Catawba Lake House dock. If you are considering bringing your own boat to Lake Lure, please contact the Town of Lake Lure and inquire about their boating and permit policies.

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.

Pets: This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $130 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party.
