Northern Michigan Wine Trip
Location, Location, Location. Michelle's Landing is the perfect location for a Northern Michigan Wine Trip... conveniently located between Sutton's Bay and Leland. The cozy house is comfortable for three adult couples and is handicap accessible. It is off the beaten path in a quiet setting with a lovely yard but within walking distance to the shops, restaurants and grocery in Lake Leelanau. We hope to make this an annual trip with friends and family.

Great location!
My husband, daughter, and little puppy really enjoyed our stay! The place was spotless and had all the essentials you needed. The best part was it was a ten minute walk to the restaurants, distilleries, and wineries! We cannot wait to stay here again.

Pleasant Surprise
We were in Lake Leelanau for a family gathering and stayed at Michele's Landing. The home exceeded our expectations...the online information did not do the place justice. The home was clean and roomy. The yard was large with a nice fire area. The dock was a short walk down the driveway. Our trip was short...but we look forward to staying again.

Roomy home with a great location.
Felt secure in this quiet neighborhood with a nice yard. Good kitchen and sleeping arrangements and baths. Some minor issues I am sure the owners will tend to. They are very happy to help with anything.

Lake Leelenau dream location
My family and I just loved our stay for the 4th of July! This property has been thoughtfully updated. It was very clean, and had everything we needed. Location is great - just a short walk to the shops and restaurants in Lake Leelenau, and easy drives to Suttons Bay and Leland. The owners were so helpful and welcoming - check-in/communication was fantastic. Can’t say enough positive things!

Ideal location
Easy commute to all our destinations: Leland, Lake Leelanau, and Suttons Bay. We visited the beach, picked rocks, wine tasted, hiked, and kayaked all in four days. The privacy, deck space, fire pit, and comfortable beds were wonderful. The kitchen was also very well supplied. Taking a little more care of the front grounds would polish—the walkway was very poorly designed and looked a little seedy. We appreciated the Wi-Fi, as we did not get any phone reception anywhere in the entire area unfortunately.

Nice house, very clean and extra supplies in the house ie. Kleenex, dish soap, toilet paper and other kitchen items! Not on the water but could walk down a path to see Lake. Nice furniture and set up! Negative was shower in bathroom did not provide enough hot water . when turned to cold shower head came out full force but just a dribble when hot water was tried…did talk to owner regarding this and he will fix for next group but that didn’t help us! Beautiful yard and peaceful area!

We booked this cottage based on the glowing reviews. I’ve always counted on vrbo to guide me to book rental properties and have never had an issue. I booked this cottage thinking that it would be a comfortable place to hang out for 3 nights to end our trip up north. The main issue we had was that my boys, ages 9 and 12, were playing around near the crib and noticed quite a few tiny bugs INSIDE the crib mattress. I have to assume these were bed bugs. I checked the other beds’ mattresses and didn’t see anything, but we couldn’t shake the fact that there were bed bugs in the crib. We left the house to get dinner and I messaged the owner, who promptly replied and said he would remove the crib mattress, which supposedly was brought in by someone else, and check the other mattresses. He told us the other mattresses were fine, but at that point, after reading about bed bugs and knowing that they don’t necessarily stay in one spot and could infest our luggage, we decided to pack up all of our suitcases and find a hotel instead. So that was 3 nights of rental money just wasted. The owner said we weren’t entitled to a refund and VRBO said it was at the discretion of the owner. So we unfortunately likely won’t be able to recoup that money. I understand that it was our choice to leave the property, but I’m not sure how we could be expected to sleep in a place after we’ve seen bedbugs. Disappointed in this experience for sure.

Loved this Property!
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Michelle's Landing. We brought our Golden Retriever and it was a great property for pets. The location was wonderful and close to both Leland and Sutton's Bay as well as centrally located in Lake Leelanau. The property was clean and spacious. Our host, Bob, was gracious available and helpful. Loved the fire pit. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Seeing the leaves change!!!
Stayed in mid October to see the color change. Pictures of inside the rental unit are very accurate. Was raining most of the trip there so was not able to enjoy the outside much.

Fall Wine Trip
We had a wonderful time on our Mini-Fall Vacation to Northern Michigan Wine Country. The centralized location of the cottage is perfect. We really enjoyed being able to walk to town, restaurants and wineries. We also enjoyed the peaceful setting, nice large yard and short walk to the lake. We really appreciated being able to bring our dogs along with us. The cottage was very clean and the rooms were spaceous with comfortable furniture. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us. We are already planning our next trip to stay at Michelle's Landing.

Everything about this rental experience was top notch. The house was exactly as described. Actually was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Very well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels. Having a washer and dryer was great. We had 5 adults and 3 dogs and not one thing went awry. The place was spotless when we arrived. Nice big yard. We put the dogs on tethers and they had plenty of room. Access to Lake Leelenau a short walk away for my kayak and swimming. Just great.

Great gem
Place is exactly as advertised. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious. The listing should also state that you are in walking distance to 3 wineries, 1 distillery, 2 restaurants, a grocery store and a couple ice cream shops. Additionally you are close to hiking trails galore, Sutton’s Bay, Fishinh town in Leland and beaches.
