Overpriced and awkward
We came for a short overnight stay. The property manager met us upon arrival. The short tour provided was unnecessary and awkward. I could’ve done without complaints of previous guests and detailed explanations. The unit was very cold upon arrival, and we were informed the furnace wouldn’t be on until October. There was a space heater available but it didn’t shut off automatically leading to us waking up sweating in the middle of the night. There wasn’t a coffeemaker in the unit, but it was provided upon request. The walls were paper thin, and we were woken up early by neighbors in the adjacent unit. The furnishings and layout were… interesting. The fold up table serving as a desk was an interesting choice. As were the binder clips holding together curtains. I was also surprised there was no TV and that we couldn’t lock the unit when we left for dinner. Hope you don’t need privacy, the bathroom is separated from the bedroom with a curtain and room dividers. If we had paid less than $100/night, none of these things would be terribly irksome, but for over $200 a night after taxes and fees I’d expect more traditional amenities and a more hospitable host.
