The restaurant was very under staffed & not trained to take care of guests properly. We waited over1 1/2 hours! For breakfast & 2 out of 9 of us never got our food until everyone else left ! This impacted our waters park time and check out (which they did extend one he of check out, but we never got to enjoy the time we planned to spend with our family having fun. Also, they did comp us….when we complained. I believe your restaurants should open before 9 am, if you want to make money & serve the families who are up at 7 in the am. Or need to leave by check out!!!

There were many things that really set Timber Ridge, and the Grand Geneva Resort, apart from others. First, and most importantly, the staff. I had the pleasure of interacting with a number of staff. I found the ice machine was broken on our side of the hotel. I ran into a Josh, who I believe was the Water Park Supervisor, and he offered to show me where the other machine was. As we walked he said he would be perfectly happy running into culinary and filling it up there for me instead (after telling me where the guest one was). The savings in steps was negligible, but I saw this extra effort from Josh throughout our stay. He seemed to always be around, checking on staff and guest needs alike. I never once saw him with anything less than a pleasant disposition. Super-freaking-star right there. I also had the opportunity to work with both Sandra at the front desk (Grand Geneva) and Arlene (events) at the end of our trip as well. Both of them were absolute delights. Personable, funny, kind, and completely without pretense of any sorts. They were genuinely wonderful and bookmarked our trip beautifully. Rooms were clean, well organized, and with all necessary items (we did need to ask for a blanket for the pull-out couch as well as a packet for the dishwasher, but both were delivered expediently). Moose and Maple was arguably my favorite meal of the trip and it was also the least expensive. A lot of great menu options there and they were more than accommodating. Great stay!

Our room was just a few minutes from the waterpark. It made it easy with the little ones to get to and from the park. The hotel has a cozy vibe. The one bedroom was cozy and had plenty of room to spread out.

Not a poor experience at all! My daughter had a great time! Here is some feedback: Staff - All pleasant and helpful! Food choices on site - could have a quicker option for breakfast, maybe some healthier choices too. Everything is fried and packaged. Rooms - A bit outdated, hard to shower in the jacuzzi tub set up The last thing is not anything reflecting the lodge itself... our neighbor had kids that were beyond disrespectful and loud late at night and very earlier in the morning (4am)... slamming doors running up and down the stairs, tons of loud noise. Again, not sure that the lodge can do anything about that. Overall, would likely be back!
