We stayed here over a cold and snowy weekend and it was perfect. The cabin was warm and cozy, with a beautiful view of the pond. Jim and Tracy were wonderful hosts who took the time to show us the animals.
We would absolutely stay again!
Clean, quiet, comfy place. If you like nature this is for you! Got the best rest ever there. Owners are gems. Got to meet their fur family! Highly recommended if you want peace n quiet. Beautiful area
We had a lot of fun during this stay. Tracy and Jim were amazing hosts who welcomed us and made us feel at home. We enjoyed seeing all the farm animals and appreciated all the wonderful decor. Everything was available in the cottage and we slept peacefully and woke up to sounds of animals. The local restaurants had great food and it was nice to walk around the farm and downtown. We will come back again!
Jin and Tracy’s place never disappoints. They are very gracious hosts. Highly recommend!!

My family had a fabulous weekend on the farm! It is beautiful, quiet and the house is very comfortable. We enjoyed meeting the animals and taking in the nature. We hope to visit again this summer.
We had such a relaxing and comfortable stay! The hosts were very gracious and welcoming and showed us around the house and property. We got to meet the horses, goats, and swans and were given fresh chicken eggs, which were delicious.
The kitchen was well stocked, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the cottage was cozy with a great view of the pond. Overall, this was a great place to spend the long holiday weekend and we'd highly recommend this guest cottage.
Jim and Tracy have an amazing cabin, it is very rustic and quaint but also comfortable. Perfect for a few quiet days. The location is remote and the last mile or so are in dirt road so be careful when picking your vehicle to bring, but it is worth it. The cabin has all the basics for cooking and the town is 15 mins away if there is a something missing. I know we definitely be returning here in fall.

There was nothing we would change! It was beautiful and relaxing. Jim and Tracy were so kind and thoughtful. We hope to return again.
This place is perfect if you’re looking to disconnect from the busy life. Despite a rainout weekend, there was still plenty to do. We enjoyed watching the animals around the farm and the kitchen has everything+ you need to cook some meals. We had fresh eggs in the fridge when we arrived and made a great breakfast. Haycock isn’t far away with a grocery store and some amazing views of the river with some public access fishing spots. Definitely a must book place and we cannot wait to go back!
Very peaceful, very quiet, and very secluded. If you are looking for a place secluded without a bunch of cabins around you, this is it. The only other people around at all were the owners, Jim and Tracy. The place was very clean and comfortable. I went in February when it snowed. I’m sure it is even more beautiful during the warmer months. You won’t be disappointed if you stay however, if you plan on making a trip during the winter months, I would strongly recommend you have an AWD or 4WD vehicle and a vehicle that does not sit low. Dirt/mud roads with some ruts and potholes for the last couple of miles to the cabin and if it snows you will have a really hard time getting in or out without it.
We booked the Windy Pond Farm cabin for my boyfriend's birthday and it was nothing short of great! Tracy and Jim are very gracious and hospitable hosts. We got their famous goats milk soap which is amazing. The cabin is quaint, quiet, and mostly private which was exactly what we wanted. The property itself is stunning. Having the goats wander right up to us Saturday
morning was a real treat as was watching all the other farm animals go about their daily routine. My only complaint is that we're a relatively new couple and we would've like some more window coverings but we felt we had enough privacy despite not having curtains or blinds. All in all we absolutely loved it and hope to return to see the farm in different seasons. We are incredibly grateful to Jim and Tracy for being such great owners and hosts!
The cabin was cute and warm despite the bitter cold outside! It was clean and stocked with some food staples, as well as games (including Uno, Jenga, and Clue) that we enjoyed! Jim and Tracy were great hosts and always replied quickly. They introduced us to their farm animals and even gave us a lot of eggs to take home! Very sweet people.
The cabin has a DirecTV satellite which works well, but if you’d like to watch streaming services you’ll have to bring your own laptop or something. Be advised that you have to drive a few miles down a dirt road that’s quite bumpy at times. If your car is low to the ground, it could be a problem. My Honda Civic made it though.
All in all this is a great place to come and take it easy for a few days!

Great spot for a quiet getaway
We rented this cottage for a quick getaway from he suburbs of NJ and to enjoy the winter weather (Mother Nature obliged with single-digit temps!). It was beautifully quiet, set up with all of our basic needs, and the complimentary dozen farm fresh eggs was a welcome surprise (and delicious!). There were only two of us, but the cabin could easily house four adults plus a few children. The owners, Jim and Tracy, couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating for any of our requests. We skied two days at Elk, which was about a 35 minute drive on slightly snowy roads, and on the day we didn't ski, they allowed us to hike around their property. I'd love to experience this cottage in a warmer season and see the unfrozen pond and greater wildlife I'm sure it has to offer.
Be sure to buy some of their homemade goat's milk soap! Great scents, very good and gentle on your skin, and I feel good about using a natural product and "shopping small."
This cottage is so cozy and peaceful! Jim and Tracy were the most friendly, helpful hosts. The master bed is SO comfortable, I wanted to take the mattress home with me! I enjoyed exploring the area by car, but also taking walks down the lane as it's a very quiet, tranquil dirt road with lovely scenery. It was a joy to see the animals every day, just going about their business! There is a great back porch facing the woods where you can just wind down and listen to the wind in the trees.
There is a decent market/grocery store just a few miles away (Preston's Country Market). It's small, but it had everything I needed.
My only suggestions would be to add a box or two of tissues around the cabin, as I didn't see any. And the internet connection is very unstable and was dropping constantly. Hopefully that can be fixed!
Thank you so much for sharing your home and hospitality!
Jim and Tracy are the true gems of the stay. They very graciously showed us their property and amazing animals. It was super cozy and quaint, and a great weekend away in nature. Thank you so much!!
A quiet peaceful property with horses goats and ducks to meet! Heating was great in the cabin. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch getting some fresh air.
Beautiful cabin, and very beautiful property! Jim and Tracy were wonderful! 10 out of 10 one of the best places to go to for peace and quite with your spouse!! Very relaxing! Enjoyed the animals also! Would definitely recommend! Would definitely stay again!!
2 of us stayed and had a lovely time. The cabin is very cute and cozy. Fully stocked kitchen. Satellite TV (you can't plug anything into the TV so bring a laptop or tablet if you want to watch your own streaming services). We got to meet the mule, horses and goats.
What an incredible stay at Tracy's adorable cottage at Windy Pond Farms. The space had everything we needed - a couple of bed rooms, kitchen stocked with necessary tools/pots/pans, a great front porch for sitting with coffee and staring into the middle distance, and all in the context of a very sweet farm (goats! chickens! ducks! horses! dogs! cat!). Tracy was such a kind, generous, personable host - both my friend and I managed to forget toothpaste and when we asked Tracy for the nearest place to get some, she brought us a tube from her own stock. She introduced us to some of her animals and was super approachable! Would absolutely stay again.
Third time staying here. As always it was a fantastic getaway. If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful getaway this is the place you need! The owners are just fantastic people, super friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommend Windy Pond to everyone!
