Great stay for ice climbing
We ran (2) consecutive trips for a disabled climbing group of (12) athletes/volunteers each. The house is close to the ice park and downtown and worked well for our group. The main rooms had plenty of space for multiple wheelchairs although all showers are on 2nd floor (added minor complexity but we knew this going in and decided to make it work). Mike was easy and fast to communicate with and understanding of our group's circumstances. We had a service animal with us (seeing eye dog for a blind athlete) that left excess hair and Mike worked with us on the unauthorized pet fee (I missed this during reservation process). Sorry to the cleaning crew for the fur, but also they must understand this dog is not a simple pet that we casually let roam the house. She is an essential member of our team and used by our athlete for navigating their world. She wasn't allowed on couches or in any other bedrooms other than the room they were assigned. This was the first trip this dog has been on and we learned just how much she sheds. She was recently paired with our athlete so bonding time is crucial, however with what we learned, we will likely ask that she not attend, or stay elsewhere for future trips (next year they will be bonded enough that she can be left behind).Only house critique: the paint on the front porch is VERY slippery in snowy or wet boots. Could this be touched up with a grippier coating? Ice climbers beware, esp if carrying heavy bags or helping a wheelchair up stairs.

Lovely home and a lovely stay.
The house is big and spacious. It has so much character. The owner is very responsive and he has the house stocked with everything you didn’t know you needed. We were grateful to stay there with our family and look forward to staying again.

What a great house close to the heart of Lake City! The entire home was clean, neat, and incredibly well-stocked. We found everything from paper towels to organic spices in the cabinets! The house is nicely remodeled with a couple of additions that make the space very accommodating for groups to gather at night, play games, etc. There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles, UTVs, etc. You can walk everywhere you need to go from this home, so the location was perfect for us. Mike was a wonderful host with fabulous communication when needed. We will definitely be back, as long as we don't decide to bring the fur kids. :)
