Great Lakefront Vacation
Our family and friends (6 total) just came back from an awesome vacation at this property. Communication with the owner's daughter (April) was excellent. The property is beautiful and in an idylic spot on the lake. We made use of the provided boats and pier to fish and swim. The amenities in the house are outstanding, and all of the small provided touches are excellent...quite honestly, there is very little we needed to bring. Many thanks for an utterly amazing week!

Great “Hide Out”
The property was perfect for our family get away. There is something here for everyone if you want to relax, play golf, kayak, swim, fish, and, with restaurants and other attractions nearby. Our family is considering a place such as this for a vacation home purchase. The owner is super responsive and provided all we needed to make our vacation stress free.

Comfortable and beautiful lakefront
After a couple of hours settling in the Darcy lakefront house felt so much like home! The view from the dining room table and the new deck was so beautiful and relaxing! The kitchen had everything you could need and most of all April was the friendliest owner! Her quick communications were so much appreciated! Thank you April and Theresa for the opportunity to stay at your lovely home! We hope to be back again soon!

Loved our first taste of lake life!
We had a wonderful stay! The weather could have been better but a very short drive to a cute zoo and a bowling alley made up for the days that weren’t exactly perfect to be out on the lake. We looked into some of the amenities within the Look Out and did a short trip to one of the beach’s but we soon learned there really wasn't any reason to leave the house! It has everything you need to have an enjoyable stay. My kids loved the toys and games found in the house and were total water bugs in lake and loved fishing right off the dock! It was just the relaxing and fun vacation we were hoping for! If you’re looking for a peaceful place, an amazing lake view and fun activities within a short drive, stay here! You won’t regret it!

Can’t say enough about Teresa and April - during our stay a few issues arose that was beyond anyone’s control - they were extremely caring, understanding and accommodating with an extremely high level of communication. The house has an absolutely incredible view and is a great location to other local attractions.

The lake at its best :)
We absolutely enjoyed our stayed at the Darcy's lakefront house. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed to relax. Nothing beats being right on the lake!! Our favorite time was by the water during sundown around the fire pit enjoying the ambiance and each other. The house has plenty of tree coverage, large windows and two sets of sliding doors that there was no need for air conditioning. One of the hall closets is full of board games and legos that kept the kiddos busy and away from their screens. It was evident that the house is well cared for and had all the essentials needed for a great family vacation. Teresa and April were easy to connect with and were great at answering any and all of our questions. We hope to return and enjoy the house, the lake and the amenities of the Hideout.

Paradise by the lake
If you're looking for the perfect place to just relax and take in the views, this is the place! The house is adorable and very clean, with all the amenities you need, and that view.... My husband and I spent a week for our 35th anniversary and had the best time fishing and rowing around the lake in the canoe. Can't thank Teresa enough for the use of her little treasure!

Great location on the lake!
This home is older but has all the amenities for your vacation stay. Located right on the lake, you can swim, kayak or canoe right off the dock. Beautiful views of the lake to enjoy sunrise or sunset! It was clean upon arrival. Lysol wipes were left for use due to Covid virus.

Relaxing Summer Getaway
Teresa's home on Roamingwoods Lake was a perfect spot for a week away with our family. The house was clean and a great space with everything we needed. Spent the week on the deck overlooking the lake with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine watching the sunset in the evening. The private lake front was perfect for dock fishing, swimming, kayaking and lazing around in floats. The fire-pit was perfect for Smores. Everything from grocery stores and restaurants minutes away. We had access to all the Hideout had to offer from the clubhouse to the pool, but found ourselves BBQing and swimming in the backyard all week. We and the kiddos had a relaxing fun week. Thank You Teresa for being a responsive and gracious host.

Great week at a great location!
My family and I stayed for a week and enjoyed the property very much. Just a terrific location and the community has a lot to offer. Lots of swimming, fishing, and boating all week. The house could use some updates but everything was functional and the location more than made up for it. This was our first time experiencing lake life and we loved it!

Perfect Getaway
Our view was spectacular from the deck or just looking through either of the sliding glass doors leading onto the deck. The house was well supplied with everything to make our stay comfortable. The canoe, 2 kayaks, and plenty of floats made our time in the lake tons of fun. Also, there was a ping-pong table in the basement that got a lot of use playing a game similar to beer pong. A grocery store was a mere 15 minutes away. A nice path around the lake was good for cycling or just taking a run/walk. Our sons played basketball several nights and if I could make one minor change it would be to add lights by the courts. Mrs.Darcy was a very considerate owner and seemed genuinely happy to have us as guests in her home. Our overall experience was awesome!

Beautiful views, great location!
The house had enough room for the right of us and was decorated very nicely. The kitchen has everything we needed. Just a very short walk to the dock. We used the canoe and kayaks. The beach and pool were great. The food at the Clubhouse not so good, but everything else great. In Hamlin, there was a great Barbecue restaurant, Kundlas Barbeque Pit...great ribs and chicken...only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Dealing with Teresa Darcy, the owner, was great...she is very accommodating.

WONDERFUL VACATION Paulette
One of our best vacations ever. Before we even arrived Teresa supplied us with more than enough information so we knew what to expect when we got there. The cottage was well supplied with everything we needed to cook meals and entertain us. Our 3 grandchildren had a ball swimming off the dock and lounging on the various tubes and rafts. We really enjoyed using the kayaks and canoe as well. The best thing was the location. The back deck overlooks the quiet cove of the lake. It is a beautiful sunset view. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay for all!

It is the best kept secret in the poconos. .
We went up to the Darcy lake house the third week in July 2017. It was the best vacation for our family. The lake house was just as advertised. The week was full of fun and without a doubt peaceful. We all enjoyed the lake every day whether it was sitting at the dock or tubing out to the middle. The girls and their fiances used the kyacks everyday. They explored the whole lake. We sat at the benches and played cards and just relaxed in the most comfortable chairs at the foot of the dock area. This was a well needed relaxing vacation. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your piece of heaven. The only negative part of the vacation was the fact that the vacation had to end.

Great stay, exceeded expectation
First off, the customer service provided by Teresa was exemplary. She made sure to set expectations properly and arranged logistics on her end perfectly. The house was spotless and ready for us, so that we could begin to enjoy the property and amenities immediately. We really enjoyed the swimming dock, canoe and kayaks during the day and the fire pit at night. There were also many activities that are available nearby like Paws and Claws and Costas family park. Good restaurants were within driving distance. The best review came from our Granddaughter who asked, "can we come here again next year?"

Excellent place for a relaxing and fun vacation
This was a great place to vacation. It was just as advertised. It has three bedrooms. The family/TV room is spacious and looks out on the lake (as does the porch). The porch has a nice gas-powered BBQ grill, which works great (and which we used a couple times). This rental abuts the pretty lake, with a short trail down to a small dock. There are two kayaks, a canoe, and plenty of floats for use in the lake. Also, renters can use all the amenities of this planned community (The Hideout), including basketball courts, tennis courts, a couple swimming pools, and an exercise room. The owner, Teresa, is easy to work with and very helpful. All in all, an excellent experience.

Relaxing family getaway
Our family of 6 (including three kids ages 10-15 and 84yo grandfather) has the most relaxing family getaway yet. With Roamingwood Lake as our backyard, we didn't worry about planning anything until the mood struck. We loved having the kayaks and canoe to use and spent everyday exploring the lake. We hardly used the pools in the community opting to swim in the backyard. We spent most of the time by the lake, fishing off the dock, relaxing in the lounge chairs, watching bald eagles soar and otters play, and making smores in the firepit at night. The house itself was truly a home, perfect for relaxing and letting the kids be themselves. It was stocked with board games, books and movies for all ages. The kitchen was stocked well with the essentials you wouldn't want to have to pack or buy just for a week.. The basement was loaded with all the life preservers, floats, nets and toys for more lake fun and it had a ping pong table. Though it was July and the house has no air, the lake breeze was perfect. My daughter even asked if we could "turn the air down" one night! The community has pools, beaches, golf, and eating options on site all available for use. They had a number of organized events for kids and adults though we didn't take advantage of them. Golfing was extra but extremely reasonable with club rentals and a pro shop to purchase anything you might need. We ate outside the community a few nights really enjoying Kundla's BBQ (only open on weekends) and Harlin's (which looks like a snack stand right outside the community's side entrance , it had a HUGE menu and everything was DELICIOUS and the owner is a super friendly man who treats you like family). We went horseback riding at Happy Trails stables, checked out Claws N Paws with the little ones while the big guys were golfing, and rented jet skis and paddleboards at Pocono Action Sports on Lake Wallenpaupack - though I enjoyed our lake more. All this was only minutes away. Teresa, the homeowner, was a dream to work with. I honestly can't say enough about how gracious and warm of a host Teresa is. She was quick to respond to all of our questions and I enjoyed talking to her immensely. She truly wants her renters to have a wonderful time in her home and will go out of her way to make it so. She even stocked us up with all the smore fixins. I am so grateful to her for sharing her slice of heaven on the lake with us.
