Past reviews from other site (ALL FIVE STARS):
"The cottage was beautiful. We had the beach to ourselves most of the time. The cottage was clean, well-equipped, and close to activities."
"We are pretty big vacationers, and across many years of marriage and having kids and working, we have always done big vacations. None of them top Jen’s place. The sunrise view every morning while waking up with the roosters is absolutely to die for. The beach is gorgeous, relatively private, and the windward breeze keeps the home cool at night and pretty dang decent through the daytime too. The place was stocked just perfectly. She has the things you need, and it is clean and clearly managed with pride, that’s the best way to put it. She is really responsive and helpful, the neighbors were all friendly and nice. The very best part, this is real Hawaii. When you go get your coffee and breakfast in the morning, it will be with the locals, and they take great pride in their culture, and it is a blast to sink in and experience that culture. I cannot recommend a stay here with any higher confidence in saying you will absolutely love it."
"Jennifer was an excellent host, very positive to work with, as well as open and honest about everything. The house was amazing, the views were gorgeous and the house felt like our home! I’d definitely recommend staying here if you want the real island feel away from the hustle of Honolulu. Staying here you are just 15 minutes or so from all that the North Shore has to offer. We never actually needed to visit another beach on the island, this property has exactly what most desire when they visit Oahu."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jen's property. It's clean, spacious, and the sofa and beds were comfortable. It was great having a full kitchen as well as washer and dryer for our use.
Of course, the best part was the view and being 15-20 steps away from a beautiful and fairly private beach. We got to witness many stunning sunrises during our stay. The location of this property is very convenient for groceries, meals, gas, entertainment, etc. Last but not least, Jen was kind, responsive and helpful. It may be a while before we get to return to Oahu, but when we do, we hope to stay at Jen's again!"
"The location of this home is just amazing. The pictures are accurate; you walk a few steps to a perfect beach. It is free from seaweed, trash, and people. The water temperature in March was in the 70s, and we even saw whales in the distance and a few turtles popped their heads up. You can literally walk for miles and snorkeling was above average without having to pay for a charter of guest fees. The wind and surf is loud (in a good way). The property, like on all of the Northshore, is on the main road. You will not hear it. And, you can literally cross the street to a big grocery store. If you have not been to the Northshore, be aware that it is not commercialized with restaurants, hotels, bars, etc. There are numerous food trucks, and they are good to explore and try. But, if you are looking for a resort town, this part of Oahu may not be for you. If you want amazing views, beaches, waterfalls, etc., then you will love it."
"We really enjoyed our stay at the Laie Cottage. Views were absolutely amazing, from sunrise in the morning to star gazing at night. The kitchen was extremely well appointed and spacious. Both beds were very comfortable, with plenty of comfortable pillows. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and in the living area, plus several oscillating fans are provided if needed. But the trade winds do most of the work :) This house is perfect for two couples (note that only one bedroom has an ensuite bathroom). Driveway handles two cars and has space for a turn around. There is a large sectional in the living area with a big screen TV. Owner was very responsive before and during check-in and with a small issue we had during the stay. Would most definitely book again!"
"The views were stunning. We could just step out from the living room onto the beach. A short 10 min walk on the beach to Hukilau was perfect for boogie boarding. Watched several sun rises and gazed at the open sky in the nights to look at the stars. Just felt so peaceful and serene."
