Check in - The hotel staff were polite and well mannered
Room- standard room we were allocated was musty probably because the windows have not been opened in a while for fresh air. The toilet door frame fell on my wife same night but too tired to do anything on the night. In the morning the electronic door lock failed and could not leave the room for breakfast until over half hour while a physical key was sought. Decided to upgrade at our own expense.
Executive room - Bigger room but the level of cleanliness and maintenance around the hotel was evidently limited to mopping the floor and changing the bedsheet/ pillow cases.
Food - Please ignore the menu at this hotel as it’s best to ask what is available and avoid disappointment. Three days in a row, were could not get pounded yam or Egusi soup. Breakfast is bearable as It’s decent.
House keeping and facilities- The rooms need deep cleaning with regular use if hoover to remove the thick dust layers on the ledges, wardrobe and bathroom, everywhere! There were stains on the bedsheet but left it as we only had one night of 5 night’s stay left.
Bar -The bar was the only place you could get whatever you wanted. The staff were helpful and worked well with the rest of the hotel staff which was mainly the reason we eat at the hotel at all.
Staff - Thesr are the people keeping the hotel going but does not seem to have any authority or power to improve anything at this hotel. Will live to come by again but time will tell.
