OVERVIEW
Charming south facing open plan ground floor apartment located in a quiet & peaceful residential area just outside the centre of Lagos but only a couple minutes by car to the historic town center, marina, beaches, supermarkets and restaurants or about 20-30 minutes if walking. Set in beautiful mature gardens with a lovely patio just a few steps away from the large swimming pool.

Ideal for those wanting to enjoy all that Lagos has to offer in the summer. Peaceful for long stays in the quieter winter months.

Perfect for families, friends, remote workers or couples sharing!

CLEANING & SANITISATION
The apartment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before every check-in. Cleaning material and products will be available in the apartment for your convenience. Additional cleaning and change of sheets/towels will depend on length of stay.

APARTMENT
This is a large well kept apartment block with 2 bedrooms and two bathrooms. Master Bedroom has 1 standard size double bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a dining/living area. It is comfortably furnished and has all the necessary equipment for a holiday. Fast & reliable Fibre Optic internet throughout and cable TV international channels. The apartment is located in a mature and well maintained gated condominium of 24 privately owned apartments with beautiful landscaped gardens and private outdoor parking.

POPULAR FOR LONG STAYS IN WINTER
For self catering long stays (28 nights or more) from November to April. Utilities such as internet, gas and water is included in the rate. Electricity however, will be charged as used by the meter reading and paid for through the VRBO platform. Included in the rate is cleaning and change of sheets/covers and towels every two weeks. If you wish to have additional cleaning this can be organised and extra charges will apply. The long stay rates are for 2 guests.

MEET AND GREET
Either José or Carla will meet guests on arrival and give tips on how to make the most of their stay in Lagos. Thereafter guests will be given their privacy and space to enjoy their holiday but are only a call or text message away if they need any assistance or information.

GETTING AROUND
The apartment is minutes away by car from the beaches, town centre, marina, and supermarket, railway station & bus depot.
The apartment is approximately a 20-25 minute walk from the town centre and beaches. Downhill going into town and uphill going back to the apartment. If you're a walker then you could easily rent without a car if you wanted to just focus on experiencing and exploring Lagos. However, we recommend a car in order to explore the beautiful surrounding areas close to Lagos or further along the Algarve. For families with children, for hot summer months and those that don't like walking, we recommend car rental.

Lagos is easy to reach from Faro or Lisbon airport with direct bus routes.

ABOUT LAGOS
One of the most popular towns in the Algarve, Lagos is a top holiday destination and has it all! From history to culture, beaches and climate to a lively, easygoing and friendly atmosphere all year round. Steeped in history it was from here that Henry the navigator set sail on his discoveries along with many other Portuguese explorers.

A walk across the Marina footbridge will lead you into the heart of the old town where you will find a very quaint typical Portuguese town with narrow cobbled streets and many shops, bars and restaurants and entertainment. Here you can experience the raw authenticity of Portugal, the daily fish market, the local Tasca, the smell of grilled sardines and seafood toasting on the grill, tiled houses, the clear blue skies and the warm hospitable people.

There are many places of interest to visit such as museums, churches, historical monuments and a mini-zoo for the children. Activities are endless in and around Lagos and include boat trips, dolphin tours, fishing, surfing, diving, kayaking, golf and much more. Lagos is also very popular for hiking and walking trips.

CLIMATE
The Algarve, situated on the extreme South of Portugal, offers gorgeous sandy beaches and glorious sunshine nearly all year-round. With around 300 days of sunshine a year and idyllic temperatures averaging 14ºC in winter and 25ºC in summer - and rarely going below 10ºC during winter and reaching as high as 28ºC or 30ºC in July and August.

Relaxing and interesting stay
My husband, my sister and I had a wonderful stay with all the comfort you need for your holidays. Carla and José a very obliging landlords and gave us a lot of helpful information for our stay. And the apartment is a good base to visit the west side of the Algave. We will defenetly visit the Algarve again as we liked it very much!

Great stay
We had a great stay in Lagos! Carla and Jose are very friendly, and prepared everything for us and our 1 year old son. We enjoyed the garden, the pool, the area and the house itself. With a convenient kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, comfortable sofas and couch, we had everything we needed. The only minus for us was that the beds are quite firm, which we aren’t used to. But that’s a matter of taste and other than that everything was perfect!

great time in Lagos
The property was wonderful. Peaceful and quiet when we were on site but close enough to everything when we wanted it. Jose met us and gave us a tour and all kinds of helpful information to make our stay enjoyable and then turned the place over to us. The property was beautifully furnished and stocked with things to make the stay enjoyable. We would definitely return and use it again.!

Staying in Albardeira
As we were playing golf we required a ground floor apartment. This apartment suited us beyond expectations as it was lovely to just be able to walk out into the gardens and sit in the sunshine. The apartment was close to the car park so it was with very little effort that we could pack the car to go off and play our golf. The apartment was only a 20 minute walk to the Marina and then a little further into Lagos itself. We thoroughly enjoyed our 11 week stay.

Beautiful quiet location, yet not far from beaches
This spacious and well furnished apartment, situated in a quiet location, yet only a few minutes‘ drive from the sea, is the perfect place for a restful holiday. The pool, just a few steps away, although not heated, was pleasantly warm in early June. The apartment is very well equipped, the beds comfortable and the owners always at hand for any questions. With two bathrooms the apartment is ideal for two couples or for a family with children. The beaches, the pleasant town of Lagos and supermarkets are only a few minutes away by car. We would recommend a car rental so you can explore, and it is quite a steep climb from the sea or the town back to the peace of the apartment. You enjoy private parking. We felt very much at home and would strongly recommend this apartment for a wonderful holiday in Lagos, which has so much to offer.

A lovely apartment that is welcoming and feels like a home.
This was a lovely apartment to stay in. The layout is perfect and has a very relaxed feel. Very clean and comfortable all around, beds, living area, kitchen, two baths, and a beautiful sun room. We stayed here for a little over a week. When we arrived Jose advised that we needed a car and that is accurate. I had read one review that said you could walk to the center; however, part of the road is narrow without a sidewalk. Very convenient to a wonderful grocery store. If you are looking for a very comfortable location to explore Lagos and area, this is an ideal location. Jose met us at the bus station and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and orange juice for the morning. Lagos provides access to the Western Algarve. We recommend the Millennium Restaurant close to the Save Market Museum in Lagos, a boat ride from the fortress to see the exotic sea rock formations and grottos, vists to the beaches at Luz and Salema, and diner at one of the seaside restaurants in Alvor.

Spacious main floor apartment with wonderful pool!!!
My family, consisting of myself, wife, and 15 year old son had a great 2 week stay in this Albardeira apartment. It is very roomy with a walk-out patio only a few steps away from the condominium pool. Carla and Jose met us for the check-in process and gave us the run down of the property and also a lot of useful tips for the area such as the nearby Pingo Doce for prepared foods and groceries, some great local restaurants, and where to find free convenient parking from where we could easily walk to most of Lagos. Our only suggestion for the property would be to update the master bed as we found it small and uncomfortable for 2 people and after 3 nights we switched rooms with our son who enjoyed it while my wife and I found the single beds in the second bedroom much more comfortable. Carla and Jose were very welcoming and prompt with any questions or issues we had during the stay. About halfway thru they had the linens and towels refreshed for us which was very much appreciated! We suspect there were quite a few other apartments in the complex which are also short-term rentals, as we often saw visitors with bags coming and going, but everyone was very respectful of space and noise. There were absolutely no issues at all with comfort. Overall, we really enjoyed this well equipped property with the pool being the highlight to help beat the August Algarve heat!

Comfortable, spacious and clean appartment
We have just come back from our first holiday to Portugal and we really enjoyed our stay in Jose and Carla's appartment. Jose met us on arrival, even though we arrived late as our flight had been delayed and Carla had kindly left some breakfast items for us as the shops were closed at that time. We were very happy to see the appartment was exactly as described by the owners; it was large, nice and cool and very clean and well maintained.In fact I had been worried about it being very hot but we never even had to turn on the fans which are in the rooms. It was really a home away from home as it had everything we needed such as a well equiped kitchen but also nice touches such as a cooler bag we could use, beach towels and board games and books for our entertainment. There was a lovely conservatory as well with another table and chairs where we had some of our meals and right outside the garden door with two deck chairs for our use. The gardens were beautiful and we really enjoyed the pool which was very clean and most of the time we had it all to ourselves! We had rented a car but it is possible to walk to the marina in about 10 minutes although the road from the appartment can be a bit dangerous in places where there is no foot path.We noticed many people who stayed at the complex walking to and back from the town regularly though. The only downside to the appartment for us was the fact that the master bedroom, which had the double bed, was facing the front of the building whereas our kids had the twin room which looked out into the gardens so they got the best view, not fair..! The beds were all very comfy as well. Thank you Carla and Jose, we left with great memories of Lagos and we hope to return some day.

Loved Lagos
We had a lovely stay in Lagos with very helpful and friendly owners. They even picked us up as we tried walking up the hill. A nice quiet location away from the noise of downtown yet close enough to enjoy the city! Loved the use of the complex pool! Highly recommend.

Wir haben 10 Tage in diesem Appartement verbracht.Lagos Altstadt ist gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Ort Lagos perfekt für Ausflüge an der Algarve. Wir haben das Appartement genossen.Es war viel Platz und alles vorhanden was man benötigt. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und hat uns herzlich empfangen.Vielen Dank!!!

Très bon séjour
La propriété est très bien située. Les hôtes sont très disponibles, accueillants et aimables. La location était très propre et bien entretenue. Le seul bémol pour nous est au sujet du chauffage. C’est une location moins appropriée pour les mois d’hiver. Il n’y a pas de chauffage central donc nous devons utiliser des chauffages d’appoint, très consommateurs d’énergie ce qui représente des frais beaucoup plus élevés que prévus. Mais nous avons passé quand même un très beau séjour et avons apprécié la location.

Un séjour magnifique
Les photos correspondent totalement à ce qui est publié. Notre hôte a été extrêmement accueillant et prévenant. La copropriété est bien entretenue et la piscine est idéale avec un enfant de 4 ans. La résidence est idéalement située pour un séjour au calme mais à 2 minutes en voiture de la marina et donc proche centre ville. On recommande.

Albardeira Apartment
We stayed here for 7 weeks and loved it. Location is an easy 15-20 minute walk to the beach or the marina or the old town. There is a very good little bar/restaurant basically next door and a great grocery store called Pingo Doce within walkable distance. Uber anywhere for 4 to 6 Euros. Carla and Jose were amazing hosts and very very helpful. Responded quickly to any queries and are both lovely. Everything you need is in the apartment. Kitchen is excellent. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at Carla and Jose’s apartment The apartment is spacious and well equipped Location wise it is 15 mins walk to Lagos town which we managed with 2 children We didn’t have a car so walked and used Ubers and taxis when we needed to. The pool is a good temperature and always plenty of sun beds The only thing that would’ve been helpful would be a decent nearby shop for essentials. Our children loved Praia Dona Ana and it is well worth the extra journey. Also the fish restaurant Tasca La Gota was amazing and very reasonable All in all a lovely, relaxing holiday Thanks Carla and Jose

Das Appartement hat uns sehr begeistert. Umfassende Ausstattung in Küche, für den Strand etc. Toller Pool! Sehr nette Gastgeber. Sehr empfehlenswert für eine tollen Familienurlaub...! Fahrrad oder Auto ist empfehlenswert. We were very excited about the apartment. Comprehensive equipment in kitchen, for the beach etc. Great pool! Very nice hosts.
