"Loved the king size bed. Had to work out the gadget for boiling water to make a cuppa, then found only one teabag available. Appreciated the hot chocolate sachets and biscuits. Good attention given by wait staff in restaurant for dinner. Menu contained good variety. Breakfast staff not quite so attentive. Overall, a very good experience at The Park Hotel. We will return."

"The service from staff for our duration was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spotless, comfortable and had great facilities. It was my partner's birthday and in addition to the free drink they gave us both helped make her and my weekend very memorable. The evening meal and breakfast was absolutely top notch. "We enjoyed our stay at the Piersland and would stay again. However, first impressions were not great. The reception area is tired and in need of modernisation. A friendly welcome would also have been nice. We were told our room number and that it was outside, but no directions were given, so we were left wandering about trying to find it. The Lodge room was lovely, nice and bright and well equipped. One thing to mention is that the shower is over bath and may not suit people with mobility...
