When we pulled up at 11:30pm after a long drive we found the hotel had burned down two weeks prior and we had never been told about it.

Disliked: Staff & service
The pool doesn't work. The beds are full not queens.
They locked me out of my room twice because their record keeping is on paper and they made a mistake and marked the wrong three days I staying.
Our first clue should have been that there were only two cars on the front side of the hotel at 10:30 at night when we arrived. Almost all the rooms were empty with their curtains pulled open. We were to have two queens but were given a room with two full size beds. The room smelled awful, not something that the air conditioner would ever get clean out. There were mold spots on the walls surrounding the room and lots of cobwebs. The air quality was so poor that even I was having trouble breathing. My children have asthma and there was no way they could stay there. We did not stay and returned the keys immediately.
Moving our daughter to college, decided to go at the last minute. This was the only rooms we could find left. There was a spider in one be and a hair in the other. One bed had a crushed cookie or cracker under the edge on the floor. Didn't walk on carpet barefoot or get in the shower. It just felt dirty.

Good for Price
Check in was not smooth but mostly because computer was down and person at desk was inexperienced with other methods. Second person showed up and all went well. Small problems in breakfast room like no plates (used bowl), no margarine or jelly or anything for toast. Staff was friendly. Extra towels at request. Comfortable beds. Great TV with remote I could work. Clean.
Requested a wake-up call at 4:45 am. If I hadn't gone to Wal-Mart and bought an alarm clock as a back-up, I would have slept in and missed my appointment because I did not receive my walk-up call as requested. This would have been a disaster because making this appointment was my reason for being in Searcy and staying at this motel.
This place is easily the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in while traveling in the U.S. Mold, dust, spiderwebs, dirty hand towels, scratchy dirty sheets. I would not even want my dog to stay in this hotel. We actually left and found another hotel after staying about 2 hours
My reservation was for a queen bed with a private balcony. The "queen" beds were full size and we did not have a balcony. I called the front desk about the size of the beds and the lady told me that they had queen beds in every room. I did measure the bed width and it was 51 inches wide. I chose this hotel over others because of the bed size listed. I would not stay here again unless all the other hotels were full.
Pretty rough place. Continental breakfast was an old pastry. Towels and linens yellowed over time to an off-white. 1 plug-in in the room. Smoke detector missing (wires sticking out of hole), etc.
I was extremely dissatisfied with this hotel. I read the reviews before I stayed here and it was a lot of back and forth of good and bad. Either way, this trip was for a few friends of mine for a hunt in NE Arkansas so I figured the hotel would be "Ok" for a few hunters. Unfortunately I was wrong. I had been driving for 6 hours and needed to use the restroom but was told by the guy behind the counter that "I cannot let you in." I looked at the door of the restroom in the lobby and it had a sign on it that said "Employees Only." The room was filthy. There was a bar of used soap up in the top corner of the shower that I bet is still there in room 120. I asked the girl behind the counter if I could get a late check out and she said "It's $25 an hour" We paid $55 a night for this joint. Had we stayed til 1PM we would of had to pay another $50 for only two hours. If they were busy I could understand the fee maybe. However, they had 3 cars in the parking lot. All 3 were my group. After staying here, I understood why there were only 3 cars. That was the final straw with me and this hotel. If you are reading these reviews, just skip right over the "Good" reviews because if this place was not good enough for a few hunters that just needed a bed and bath, imagine how bad it will be when you stay. I wouldn't stay at this location again if the rate was free.
Comfortable bed, and clean room. Great price. The tub wasn't caulked very well and the tub faucet was a little leaky, so it underscored the fact this isn't a 3 star hotel. The front drapes had a paper clip to hold them closed as well. The hotel was great for me since I was travelling on my own, but I don't know if my wife would want to stay there.
These previous ratings give this place a bad rap. It was actually ok. Bed was comfy, tv was good...room was clean. The fridge was less than cold, but that's ok. They had ice. There was a band of rednecks that camped outside of their rooms downstairs that were a bit loud, but we didn't mind that much. For the price, this hotel is fine.
title says it all. there are holes in the curtains. liquids dripping off the walls. spray paint in the bathroom. no clock. no one is at the front desk...ever. you have to go down there and wait ten minutes, knocking on random "employee" doors, before someone comes to help you. only plus is the TV, it had a pretty nice television.
