Rural house in La Salzadella
Salsadella is a municipality of the Valencian Community, which belongs to the province of Castellón, in the Comarca of Bajo Maestrazgo, with a population of 800 inhabitants and at an altitude of 339 meters above sea level. Its name is a consequence of a large forest of willows, located near the town.
The farm is 4 km from the town. The surface of the plot is 250,000 m2. The farmhouse, of the eighteenth century has been restored in its entirety recently in facilities, floors, walls inside and outside of roofs and facades with stone, wood and materials from the area, with first qualities and respecting as much as possible the original structures, with a total area of 782 m2.

History of the farmhouse and farm
History: Historically the population of Salzadella had small groups of towns or districts called Masías, highlighting El Andalus, La Solana, El Rey, La Teulería and El Guasch, among others.
It is called "Masía del Rey", since in antiquity it was in this district where the king was staying in his movements through the Spanish east. In exchange and as a thank you, to all the peasant families of the place, as a privilege, he exempted them from military service and wars.
Important and numerous in inhabitants was on the other La Masía del Rey, because it had a silver mine that with the passage of time was abandoned and was closed last century to stop being profitable.
Via Augusta
The Via Augusta was one of the main communication routes of the Roman Empire, being the longest with 1,500 km, from the Pyrenees to Cádiz. In its passage through the province of Castellón there is the population of Salzadella, as can be seen in the route from north to south of Castellón: Traiguera, La Jana, San Mateu, La Salzadella, Les Coves de Vinromá, Cabanes, La Pobla Tornesa, Borriol, Vila-Real, Borriana and Xilxes.
Characteristics of the building
18th century building, restored in stone and wood, on two floors with 782 m2.
It is located on the top of a small hill with spectacular views from all rooms.
Total capacity of seats: between 12 and 24 seats.
It has 6 double rooms, which for their size can be quadruple, three of them with sloping ceilings with wooden beams on the upper floor and three on the ground floor. All of them with a large built-in wardrobe and complete individual bathrooms.
On the ground floor, in addition to the three rooms indicated, a dining room of around 100 m2, with two toilets, kitchen of 40 m2 with exterior and interior door and a large outdoor terrace next to the living room of 250 m2.
In front of the large outdoor terrace, a pool of 12.50 m x 10 m, with a beach effect, meaning that you walk in and end with a viewpoint with exceptional views over the valley.
It should be noted that all rooms and units have large windows to the outside, being very spacious and bright.
Current electricity is solar and wind, that is, free of charge. As a whole, it has an excellent and typical Mediterranean climate.
Due to its location and characteristics, for its tranquility and pleasant landscape, for its short distances to emblematic and touristic points of the area, it is ideal as a rural house of charm.
