"A lovely, well executed, homely hotel. A very comfortable and spacious room with some cool furniture and a big dressing area that made me wish I was staying longer! The bathroom was a good size with a big shower and a bath, the fittings are dated, but all function and everything was mostly spotless. Staff were efficient and friendly. I ate in the restaurant, the food was great, I had the fregola, and a glass of local wine. The service was welcoming and lovely. I would definately stay there again."

"Sent by Copilot: Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, France I recently stayed at the beautiful Mere Germaine Hotel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and I have nothing but great things to say about it. The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking views from the terrace. I stayed in a two-story room with a mezzanine and a terrace, which added to the charm and comfort of my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. Breakfasts were a highlight, featuring delicious fresh breads and other tasty options. I also treated myself to a massage and enjoyed some time in the jacuzzi. While the jacuzzi could have been a bit hotter, I didn’t ask the staff to adjust it, so it’s possible they could have made it warmer. Parking was conveniently located about half a block away, but I found that I didn’t need my car much at all. The hotel is within walking distance of several vineyards, where I enjoyed tours and tastings. Additionally, the ruins and numerous restaurants and wine bars are just a short walk away, making it easy to explore the area on foot. Overall, I highly recommend Mere Germaine Hotel for its beautiful setting, excellent service, and convenient location. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Châteauneuf-du-Pape."

"We had a sublime 2 week stay in Lio's beautiful house with pre-teens and our grandma (3 generations), with our own air conditioned rooms. The pool and BBQ are brilliant, and the plunge pool is larger than expected with room for a float ;) Pool towels are provided. The village itself is incredibly beautiful albeit a bit remote. You definitely need a car to explore - Goudarges market on a Wednesday morning is brilliant. There is canoeing there as well. Nimes city is an hour by car, well worth the drive, and stop off to see the Pont du Gard on the way back. The restaurant next door and around are great, most have kids menus too. The cascades are a short walk away and kids loved jumping from the rocks into the deep water - but not easy paths if you have mobility problems. The Villa is superb with everything catered for. You will need to maintain the pool and water the plants, but I found this an enjoyable morning routine with a coffee cup at the table. There is even a hammock for relaxing in! Lio is very responsive on the phone and dropped by several times if required. Parking permit supplied by Lio so you can drive into the village itself. We loved our stay! Parki(residents etakibewarc"
