Location, location, location! This beautifully renovated beach home is located mere steps from Casa de Campo's Minitas Beach Club. Complete with a huge garden, private pool, and tranquil wrap-around screened-in porch, this well appointed villa will become your private oasis. A dedicated house keeper will provide daily cleaning services and will prepare breakfast and lunch every day upon request.
The house provides complete privacy and relaxation. There is a private pool, ample common area space, and 3 private king bedrooms with en suite bath. The house includes two air-conditioned TV lounges, a large air-conditioned common room with ample seating, and a tranquil wrap-around screened in porch complete with two built in seating areas and a large dining-room table. The huge garden is completely private and includes beautiful landscaping lights to enhance your evenings relaxing on the patio.
The villa includes ample parking in our gravel driveway with a mango tree in the center. Additionally, The villa also includes the option to rent a premium electric 6-seat golf cart meticulously maintained and purchased in 2023. We offer the 6-seat cart for $80 per night during low season (Monday after Easter - Wednesday before Thanksgiving) and $90 per night during the rest of the year. This is a substantial discount from our closest competitor, Eco Planeta Caribe (you can check out their inventory and prices online), who currently charge $110 for the same cart plus 18% sales tax during low season. If you happen to see a lower price for your stay, let me know and I will price match. We rent our cart instead of including it in the villa price in order to bifurcate business operations and liability. Note that while you may be able to find slightly cheaper golf cart rental options, all carts are DEFINITELY not the same. Many vendors rent old carts that are unreliable and travel at half the speed. If you are in need of an additional cart, please inquire. I may be able to accommodate your request.
Welcome to Villa Playa Minitas 4. Below are a few house and resort details to help familiarize yourself with the property and Casa de Campo. All information about resort amenities, restaurants, additional services, etc. is contained in my guidebook that I can share with you via email once the booking is confirmed.
General Villa Information:
The villa comes with a property manager that can help communicate with staff and resolve any issues might have during your stay. His name and contact information will be shared after booking is complete.
The villa address is Apto de Playa 4, directly across from the Minitas Beach Club. There is a gravel driveway at the end of the neighborhood with ample space for parking. Electric golf carts should be parked nose in close to the villa as that is where the electrical outlet is located.
My property manager will meet you at the property. If you are arriving in the evening, he will leave the front door unlocked for you before your arrival and will leave a key on the table in the entrance foyer. Casa de Campo is an incredibly safe place. It is not necessary to lock the doors when you step out, but you certainly can.
The house comes with a full-time employee. She speaks pretty good English, and our house manager can help with anything you might need. She works from 7:30 am – 3:30 pm daily and will clean all rooms, do laundry, and prepare breakfast and lunch if you wish. It is recommended that you tip her $20-$30 / day depending on the size of your group and the amount of cooking and cleaning being done. If you'd like the staff to stay for dinner, it is generally $85-$110 extra payable directly to them depending on the size of your group (inquire for details - additional server may be required). Grocery delivery and other amenities are also available upon request.
The hot water in the Villa takes a minute to heat up. When running the faucet or shower, just be patient.
All bedrooms are cooled by mini-split AC units. These differ from central cooling units in the US and other countries in that they only take a few minutes to cool down the room. Please turn the units off when you leave your room during the day. If the units are left on by mistake, the house staff is trained to turn them off while they are cleaning the house.
General Resort Information:
Before your arrival, please send me a passport photo for all guests in your party as well as a photo of the identification for your taxi driver (unless you choose to use my recommended driver, Jesus – details in guidebook). This information is required to arrange resort access. If you choose to leave the resort for an excursion during your stay, make sure to bring your passport with you as it is required for re-entry.
Upon arrival at the resort, you will be required to register at the reception at the front gate. I will pre-register your party with the passport info you sent me and will forward you the email that provides your access confirmation. Upon registering, the resort does charge a daily resort fee that will give you access to all hotel facilities except for the fitness center:
• Adults over 12 years old: US$ 25 per person per day
• Kids from 4-12 years old: US$ 12 per person per day
• Kids below 4 years old: FREE
If you are planning to play golf, I recommend contacting Casa de Campo ahead of time to inquire about golf packages, tee times, and pricing. Registered villa renters should receive a special price with your access card.
General Information:
I recommend visiting an ATM at the hotel lobby or the marina to get some pesos. While you can pay in USD at most places, it is convenient to has some local currency, especially for tipping. It is a cashed based economy for any additional services you pay for (e.g., golf caddies, massage, driver, etc.). Also, tipping for basic things like luggage help at the airport, help getting groceries to the car, setting up lounge chairs at the beach, etc. is appreciated but 100-200 pesos is the standard denomination ($2-$4 USD).
