"Gorgeous grounds, wonderful staff, safe location, quiet and removed from downtown noise. Rooms had a tropical rustic vibe. The hotel was exactly what I was looking for and it was great! Peaceful yoga outside for my family in the garden facing the sea, will be one of my favorite memories. Instructor was great and super nice. My children all got massages, also wonderful. The breakfast is amazing, and the dinners were fabulous, great food and beautiful presentation. The music they played in dining room was awesome. All staff were excellent, I can’t remember all names but Rosio and Lucia were so sweet. The private fenced beach was wonderful! Truly an escape, felt relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!!"

"Great stay at Dharma Beach hotel. Hotel was right on the very clean beach, with nice walks along the beach to the cliffs and south to other towns, lots of water activity options there and a short walk to the many restaurants and bars in town "

"We stayed for 3 days and found the location convenient for exploring the Puerto Lopez area. I would note that the beds that are described as "queen size" would be called double beds in the US."

"It was my first time in Ecuador and staying at Cerro Lobo was one of the best experiences. Place was super clean, staff was amazing. If i ever visit Ecuador again will definitely come back and i highly recommend!"

"The Manager, Elizabeth, went out of her way to help us non-Spanish-speaking visitors. She translated, made helpful suggestions, and was a delight to talk with. The property is 1/2 block off of the beach in the middle of the beach activity and is lovely. The rooms are clean and just the basics. Bed, side table, refrigerator, clean bathroom. But, that is all you need! The property is still expanding and improving and promises to be even better. hey also have a washer and dryer which was very much needed since we only brought enough clothes in a backpack. I felt very safe in the hotel and walking around Puerto Lopez even though I am a 62 y.o. woman and my only companion was my 26 y.o. Down syndrome daughter. BTW the FOOD is fantastic in Puerto Lopez. We ate in 6 different restaurants on the beach or on the beachfront road. And, of course, a very polite dog will "guard" your table hoping for a "Tip" Please tip generously. "

"This was my second time at The Sea Garden. Such a beautiful property along the beach. You can hear the waves from the room. The staff was exceptional, as usual. I highly recommend this place! "

"We always write what we did like and what we didn't like so much. Onto the not so much to get to the awesome! The only thing we can think of is we didn't feel as secure as we could have with the room. The windows can't be left open (screens) if you want your items as protected as possible that makes it stuffy and warmer in the room when you are gone. However, staff is around, it's a close knit community, theft would be rare and would probable come from a guest. We DID like the staff, amazing owner, under some difficult circumstances the owner really helped us out. The courtyard is pretty, hammocks to relax in. Easy to walk to the beach or grab groceries etc. We would stay there again! "

"We checked out after one sleepless night. Our room was so loud inside it felt like we were in a nightclub, but worse, because it was a mixture of 3-4 nearby clubs and bars music. The hostel itself hadn’t even started any live music yet when we arrived. I don’t know how the Hostel can actually charge money for this room, let alone nearly 100 dollars. The atmosphere was dead, the hostel is really big and not particularly communal. You’d be much better off in a cheaper and smaller place 5-10 minutes out of town. We checked out and were told we might get our money back if they let the room out again. They did sell the room but did not give us our money back. One of the managers was very rude about it saying that we were told it was a party hostel Nowhere on hotels.com does it call itself a party Hostel. This place is unfit for purpose. The wifi doesn’t work in the rooms. The kitchen was smelly and dirty. One of the cupboards smelled strongly of mould. There were no forks. "
