"Sadly, our stay was not what we expected as the reality did not match the facilities and information given on Hotels.com. Positives - Our room (Rabelais) was quiet, clean and attractive. Negatives - We had great difficulty finding the very rural property using the address given and had to ask locals for directions, twice. (The hostess admitted the address was wrong.) "Absolutely couldn't wish for a better place to relax and recharge our 'parent' batteries. Beautiful place with a great and friendly service. Completely tranquil and romantic. Really enjoyed our stroll throught the vineyards and around the estate with while playing a fun game of quiz. Thoroughly recommend this place, in parcular to couples. "

"We spent a lovely few days with Jean-Phillipe and Michelle in this very tranquil and beautiful part of rural France. Jean-Phillipe had some local wines available to sample and also has a BBQ that can be used and a games room. The swimming pool was very clean and everything very well maintained. It’s a short drive to Saumur where there are shops and restaurants and activities such as bike hire. Would recommend."

"Room was huge and in the main in good condion. However noticeable it was one of the ones not yet updated. Bathroom was worn and old fashioned and needed a complete redo. Sofa bed when as a couch was faux leather and quite damaged. Upon complaining I was kindly offered 2 other rooms but athough these were modernised and newly updated in the end I stuck with original room due to the extra space, how bright it was and the amazing 8th floor view.
