"Great hotel I will be back. My only complaint was the air conditioner. I feel like they need another. One for the size of the room was very hard to get the temperature down to a normal range. The staff are amazing and it's in a beautiful location. I will be back."

"We booked a 2 night stay. Our initial reception was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and gave lots of information about the resort. We were escorted to our room and the luggage taken for us. The features were clearly explained. At all times the staff were very courteous & couldn’t do enough to help. We had dinner both evenings which, again, was excellent. The location is fantastic with amazing views. All in all, the best experience we had in Costa Rica. "

"Brand new hotel still under construction. The rooms were nice. Great views. Clean even under construction. The hills are a little tough to go up and down from the parking to the room areas. They still need to work out some kinks but for the most part a nice hotel."

"This was an amazing place to vacation. Easy access to Manuel Antonio and the beach. Even if you don't want to visit either of those, the property itself is like a zoom. We saw 3 different species of monkeys up close with some visiting us right on our balcony. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable and there were plenty of dining options right on the property."

"We loved our stay in Luxury Standard Room 209 at Tulemar. We saw squirrel monkeys daily from our balcony, and toucans, sloths, scarlet macaws, leaf-cutter ants, frogs, bats, and iguanas on the grounds also. The private beach was never crowded, and we appreciated the complimentary umbrellas and chairs, as well as the ability to order food and drinks from Tule Cafe while on the beach. "FYI: They don’t tell you at the beginning when you check in but you must return all keys when you checkout or you will get charged $20 US per key. Towels are $40 US or they will charge you so make sure you count the towels and make sure to return them. We found out when we were checking out! "Hotel was nice property with good location in Uvita. Next door was a mix of eating places (Uvita Gastro Park). The staff was very nice and helping. The hotel appeared to be newer property. Also secure parking."

"Room was comfortable. No view from room. Pretty area with gardens around walkways. Not a lot of outside seating areas. Most rooms are a walk uphill a ways. Not many have close parking. Trails uphill behind resort. 4x4 drive to upper parking was in good shape and looked good enough for 2 wheel when dry. Dining was fine, with good service. Trout was good, though I think it was better for lunch up the road at the next cafe. Bar area has seating and fire. Happy hour 3-5. The resort seems to do a lot of large bus groups. Dining room was full with 4 tables of 10-15 people and just a handful of couples at other tables."

A gem in the cloud forest

"Amazing view from every individual lodge. This is an amazing property with a large natural areas with hiking trails. The trail levels would be moderate and difficulty, but it is really nice to be with trees and natures. Excellent services, staff are warm, friendly and helpful. Excellent dinner menu with very reasonable prices. Humming bird feeder brought nice visitors. The bird and nature guide (Carlos) booked through the lodge was excellent. We saw quetzal birds twice!!! "

"We stayed for the first time, and were very pleasantly surprised by the grounds and the pool area. The staff were all lovely and helpful. We especially connected with Ronald, his family and the staff who run the restaurant, they really took care of us. Thank you for everything. We will definitely be staying again."
