"A really nice, boutique hotel, but reception staff on arrival were not friendly, unsmiling and were unhelpful. As wine professionals, we wanted to taste some tank samples of unfinished wine in the bar. The staff wanted to charge us €15 corkage per bottle, even though we were not going to drink these wines. We would have bought a bottle to drink after the professional tasting. Having stayed here for so many years, I was really disappointed with the reception."

"Very clean, nicely upgraded rooms and dining area. Nice staffs. Quiet and nice neighborhood. I was arriving around at 11:30 PM was little hard to find the hotel being first time at the town. Breakfast was good, there seems to be no better eatery in the neighborhood. I enjoyed staying at the hotel! "

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

Being able to park my vehicle on the secured premises was one of the main reasons for choosing this accommodation, but luckily, everything else ended up being excellent too. "This hotel is very convenient for Briare train station with excellent trains into Paris daily. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds are lovely, with lots of parkland and trees."
