Looking for the perfectly located property on the South Shore, with private beach (CROSS BAY) and famous (HORSESHOE BAY BEACH) a 10 min. Walk. THIS IS IT!
Beautifully, TROPICAL decorated with most amenities, located on
a spacious property that overlooks the turquoise waters of Bermuda. On a major bus route to each end of the Island.

The stunning beauty of the property and the hospitality of Wendell is exactly as you've read in the other reviews. If you want to stay near the beautiful beaches on the South Shore you can't beat it. If you'd like to be within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and nightlife, Hamilton is probably more your speed.

Seaside cottage - private beach
The owner, Wendell is a wealth of information- a local that knows everything and probably everyone. The small hilltop unit is a 2 min walk to a private cove ( down many stairs) for swimming and relaxing . Quaint and quiet location overlooking a breathtaking view. We used the convenient bus stop a few steps away to see everything on the island. We love the south shore location and the friendly hosts.

Amazing Experience
This was our first trip to Bermuda and the location couldn’t have been better to enjoy the beautiful beaches. Wendell was a great host and extremely helpful in assisting us with making the most of our time there.

Wow! Like the property title says, LOCATION is amazing!!! You are on the cliff above a beautiful and private beach. Its a true paradise!!!! Most days it was just us on the beach. You do need to be able to do stairs to go to and from the beach since it is on a cliff, but its so worth it for the amazing views! The public bus system stops directly in from of the property, so getting around for cheap is really easy. The room is great with everything you need. The owner, Wendell, greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the property. He was so kind and inviting and answered any questions we had. He also told us some history of Bermuda. I would surely stay here again and would recommend you stay as well. Thanks for your kindness, Wendell! ♥️

Great place to either enjoy the beach and explore Bermuda
Wendell will treat you like one of the family. He showed us the sights of the island, and helped us to get bus tickets and food. The location is great, and you have a lovely spot to look out to sea. It's a short walk to a lovely secluded beach.

Perfect for exploring Bermuda
The room is just steps from a bus stop and about a 20 minute walk to Horseshoe Bay Beach. The room is tiny, but perfect for the person/couple that does not plan to spend much time in the room and wants to explore the island.

Needed a little extra space for a family vacation and found this studio very close to the house we rented. Wendell and his wife were lovely and it was the perfect location. Could not have been happier.

The owners were a blessing to know and work with.
Beautiful location, clean, neat. The ocean views were amazing. The owners were a kind family and fixed dinner for me on my first night there. They made sure I had what I needed. The weather was rainy and cooler than expected and I did not get much sight seeing in but that’s ok because this was a business trip and I spent most of my time on my computer. Next trip will be more for pleasure and hopefully much warmer.

Wendell is a terrific host. When we mentioned we wanted to do some stargazing, he brought out his telescope and set up chairs with a pitcher of water for us to enjoy. The location can’t be beat. Look forward to coming back.

Bermudaful
Spring Break 2024 and a major rain storm in Miami delayed and cancelled our flight till the next day, losing an night in our stay, an early flight the next day with transportation arranged to the property allowed for our host Wendall to give us a personal tour in his vehicle from Hamilton to the Dockyards, that was so comprehensive and interesting that we were able to ensure getting the most of our remaining time in Bermuda. Wendall was a 5 star saviour with what to do, what to see, and where to eat, it all made our stay very memorable. Bermuda as I quipped is exceptionally picturesque or simply "picture perfect".

Quick 5 days in the beautiful country of Bermuda
Wendell greeted us warmly. We arrived a bit early from airport. The grounds were tidy. The actual room was older, needing some updates. There were some leftover personal care item’s left in a bathroom drawer with a chunk of old dried up bread. But bathroom was clean otherwise. Floors were clean which is important. The a/c worked well. We typically spend very little time in our room, we are not real particular. We would possibly stay again for future visits.

Amazing Location
My first visit to Bermuda and Wendell, Xinia, Jasmine, grandma (who’s 98 and sharp as a tac!), Spice(the cat) and their friend, Alfie were amazing hosts! The location of this property is perfect! Ocean view and access to the beach is steps away. Bus stops right outside of the property—super easy bus system! Can’t wait to return to Bermuda!

Amazing location!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Wendell and his family are so friendly and welcoming. The location is amazing. Walk a few hundred yards to Henry’s pantry. Horseshoe Bay beach is about a 15 minute walk. The private beach in front of the property itself is absolutely breathtaking. The bus stop is right outside your door! We highly recommend eating at Devils Isle Cafe. We had an amazing time.

-location: you cannot beat it. Next to major beaches like Horseshoe (10 min walk, <5 min bus/car ride), Warwick, Elbow, jobson's cove. 15 min ride to Hamilton, 15 to Dockyard.

The Best Location with the best hosts
We had a wonderful time at Wendell's & Xinia apartment such wonderful hosts, wouldn't of wanted to stay anywhere else we will certainly miss all the chats and stories and the views from your garden. The apartment is conveniently close to Bus stops which makes it so easy to see all the island, which is so beautiful with its turquoise waters and white sand beaches its paradise. Hope to come back and visit you both in the future with our 3 girls.

The whispering waves
This property is situated a 15 minutes walk from the beach Horseshoe Bay, and many other lovely beaches. The busstopp is right outside, and the buses take you to the city of Hamilton in 25 minutes, going every 30 minutes. We bought buscards which also included the ferries, so we made it easily around this beautiful island. Friendly hosts!

Peaceful Rest in Bermuda
Magical, Peaceful, Relaxing, Surrounded by beautiful people with kindness in their hearts. This was a trip of a lifetime. I felt free and able to connect with nature and the souls of the Bermudian people. I didn't want to leave this amazing home. I just wanted to sit in Wendell's treehouse overlooking the turquoise blue ocean. I felt like I was living in a Doris Day movie. Everyone was kind and said "please & thank you". Wendell, Xenia, Jasmine & Grand Mama adopted me. I was part of their family. I was single woman travelling alone and I felt very safe. I would highly recommend booking an Island tour with Gregory DeSilva. He helped me out a few times. Wendell has his phone number. If you believe in magic book this trip. I can't wait to return. Bermudaful Vacation at Whispering Waves
We have visited Bermuda at least 20 times but always by cruise ship. We were looking for a different experience and wanted to stay on Island in a Bermudian home. We are very familiar with the Island and knew exactly where we wanted to be and Whispering Waves did not disappoint. We were within walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches Horseshoe Bay, the bus stop(s) that went to Dockyard/Hamilton were directly in front of the property, and a short walk in either direction were restaurants. The view of the ocean and beach below Whispering Waves was breathtaking from a special vantage point Wendell created for his guests to enjoy. We especially loved having our morning tea and breakfast overlooking the ocean and listening to the waves in the evening before bed. Wendell and Xinia are remarkable hosts they went above and beyond to be sure we had a lovely vacation. We will definitely return to Whispering Waves! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property and Island knowledge with us.

Unbelievable location + most kind and generous hosts
Wendell and his wife were so incredibly kind and so generous with their time. They took us on a driving tour of the island to get us acquainted with our surroundings- it ended up making a huge difference to how we spent our time. The location is in walking distance to restaurants (including some of the best sushi I’ve ever had). The views from the property and everywhere you walk are incredible. The private beach for the neighborhood was AMAZING. We had it ALL TO OURSELVES. You can also walk to Horshoe beach - which is the most incredible experience!!! important to note you can walk to the scooter, bike and mini electric car rental place. This helped a lot. The interior could use some updating, but you won’t be spending your time inside.

Wonderful stay at Whispering Waves!
My wife and I had a splendid time at Wendell and Xinia’s amazing apartment in Bermuda. They are excellent hosts and provided great hospitality, recommendations and guidance during our stay. They are very kind and are the perfect island hosts. There are so many amazing beaches very close by, including the spectacular private Cross Bay beach that is only a few minutes away. All the beaches are clean and stunning. The bus stops are right in front of the property making to very easy to get around the island. The restaurants that are near the apartment are very good and there’s a little market right up the road. The views from the property are fantastic and the decor has that inspiring island vibe. The whole island is really quite beautiful and friendly. The Whispering Waves is absolutely wonderful and if you’re looking for a great stay in Bermuda, this is it!

Great stay in beautiful Bermuda
Wow! What a view! We had a great time being in Bermuda at Wendell’s. His whole family is super sweet and Wendell knows a lot of tips for great spots to visit. The outside chairs were nice in the evening to chat with a glass of wine. We rented a car for 2 days and a scooter one day to see more parts of the island, but you can walk to some nearby beaches and restaurants. The Reefs restaurants were our favorite! Make sure you visit The Swizzle Inn for a rum swizzle and go to The Blue Hole to jump off the cliff! Wendell was a great host and his daughter Jas was a sweetheart who helped us get to the airport and showed us her favorite beach spot in Somerset. Definitely recommend! 🥰❤️
