"We have been 'Chateau' travelers for 42 years. I cannot count the number of establishments visited. Ch Goujonnerie is 'THE' most charming Chateau we have had the priviledge to stay. It was exceptionally difficult to say goodbye after 5 nights. Isabella, Natalie AND Stephen and Michel were the most charming hosts. We will never forget their care to guests. We look forward to returning again and is a great place for a base camp if you want to visit La Rochell or Il de Re or so many other places along the sea and throughout Vendee. They also offer Gites that some may prefer."

"We had a wonderful week at this beautiful gite. Brigitte and Lionel were very friendly and attentive to our needs. The gite itself and grounds are beautifully maintained - we felt super relaxed when we left having spent the week swimming, lying in hammocks and exploring the nature in the garden. "We chose this property for the reasonable price and proximity to Puy du Fou and it served us well. It is well equipped for cooking (we made 2 dinners) and there a is great selection of food nearby at the Super U. It is especially quiet at night which we appreciated. Somehow I neglected to include our grandson when making the reservation but Jocelyn was most gracious and accommodating of my mistake. There is a good shower and the composting toilet, while unusual, is perfectly fine. I would suggest 2 small changes, a thicker/softer mattress and wifi booster. We would be happy to visit again."

"We were only there for one night after visiting Puy du Fou. It was absolutely fine. Nothing fancy, but the bedding was clean, the bathroom was clean and the staff were friendly."

"We were so happy with our stay here. We had an extended family visit to see puy du foy. The accommodation was very large and perfect for our big group, the grounds were beautiful and the children loved the outside space. We would not hesitate to stay here again. The host was beyond helpful and was very kind after my daughter twisted her ankle in the garden (entirely her own fault as she fell over a football the children had been playing with)."
