"We had book the apartment for 14 days but ended up checking out five days early. Mostly because of heat, mosquitoes and/or bedbugs, and mildew smell. The positive. 1. We enjoyed the pool. 2. "Galu Beach is a beautiful place to spend a few days. The house was very nice and we especially liked having the chef prepare us fresh fish dinners and tasty breakfasts. "Though much is said about the garden and put in the picture, the residence did not live up to our expectations. Communications with the manager/owner (Noelle) were erratic, although the attendant (Stephen) was nice and paid attention. The apartment was below standards for ease of access at arrival, comfort, and overall attention to clients' expectations."

"Pros: -This is a very economical beach-facing unit if you are on a budget. -Nice king-size bed. -Nice TV and couch. -The interior of the unit is highly maintained. -The unit manager was quick to address any issues that might have come about. -Security is on point and willing to help with anything. "Great, budget-friendly, and beautiful resort with direct beach access and security guards. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe there. The meat choices at the buffet were limited, but I noticed this everywhere in Kenya. Overall, my stay was very pleasant and amazing! The resort has stunning landscaping and unbeatable prices, and I would definitely stay there again."

"Hospitable staff and excellent service. The property is not new but still in good shape. We saw monkeys hoping in the big coconut trees from our balcony (seaview). Everything is clean including swimming pool, nice fresh air. We hopped on tuktuk (three wheel motorbikes) to the town (about 2km away) for forex and shopping. We detested the salty shower at first but got used it eventually (just don't drink it). "
