"Elite Hotel Martenson is situated in old town Halmstad and walkable from the train station. The central location provides easy access to restaurants, parks, cultural events, public facilities and a short bicycle ride to a beautiful beach. The hotel itself was very quaint, well maintained and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurants on site provided another excellent amenity. Although we did not get a chance to use the gym it was probably one of the best equipped we’ve seen"

"Staff were exceptional throughout but particularly at Reception. A credit to the hotel and to Sweden. It's a nice hotel in good location and the breakfast is a superb. The common areas are really nice and relaxing. The downside is that the pool is part of the Spa and can not be used by "ordinary" guests. If you don't want the full Spa treatment you can't take a dip. The Classic Double that I stayed in had a large window into a closed courtyard facing other rooms with similarly large windows....

"The hotel offers a charming atmosphere in the heart of Båstad. The interior is well-designed, with plenty of seating areas and fireplaces, creating a relaxing environment. The rooftop pool and bar area are particularly appealing and provide a great spot to unwind. One unique aspect is the constant flow of guests in robes, moving between the spa and the outdoor baths, which adds to the relaxed vibe. The room itself had some quirks.
