"It was exactly what I expected it to be! Comfortable for the night. The other tenants in the room were a little annoying (ones alarm kept going off and the other kept yelling at her in Japanese). It’s a hostel tho, if I wanted perfect peace and quiet I’d pay for a hotel room. The room itself was very clean and super well kept. "Cleanest of total 6 hostel/capsules I've stayed. The property is well maintained. Nothing falling apart or looks dirty. Large sitting lounge can sit 8-10 people comfortably. Most of my 13 nites stay I see only mostly 2-4 people in there. Sometimes there is a larger group. Large CLEAN & COMFORTABLE sitting lounge, not a large cafeteria w/just tables/chairs, promotes interaction amongst people. That is what happened there. The street is a high-end(ish) Rodeo Drive -lite like street. VERY NICE...

"Chillulu was okay. Not spectacular, however a good enough short term stay (2 nights for me). The location in Yokohama Chinatown is hard to beat! I even tried the Cafe downstairs and it was excellent tho on the pricier side. The property itself is old, but maintained, however I need to mention how cramped I felt and the curtains and thin walls offer little from the other travelers. Good location, but I’ll stop there. "

"Loved the guest house. The staff were amazing, especially Moka. She was very helpful and kind and the first evening she made us takoyaki. The only downside is that it's a bit far from downtown. However, with the subway nearly everywhere it's really accessible including Yokohama, so it wasn't that bad. The area is nice and quiet and very safe. I will definitely come back."

"No staff on site, very noisy entry door can be heard all night by all guests on the first floor. Bedsheets has hair from another person suggesting they hadn’t been changed. "This is a cute 60-year old Japanese house tucked away in a funky part of Yokohama filled with small bars (including my favorite jazz bar). The home has been remodeled in a way that keeps the charm of the old house, but has the conveniences of a modern international hotel (easy shower, Toto, speedy wifi). They also are great hosts and have a nice small lobby where people can hang out. The rate is very reasonable and personable compared with a capsule hotel. "
