I had a fabulous break at this hotel. The staff were wonderful and could not do enough for you. Nice bar area, lovely pool and the food was delicious. My only criticism would be that the bathroom needed updated. I was expecting a separate shower from the pics so was disappointed to find one over the bath. My parents' mobility was not great and although it was ground floor they struggled with getting into the bath

One of the rooms I booked had a lot of condensation on the bedroom floor that my relative slipped. Also, the door access card was deactivated while we were still checked in.

Location is only the best thing about this hotel, it needs to have a total renovation of rooms, they are old and tired, my impression is our room was not cleaned properly, it’s very hard to get a drink around the pool, the staff don’t come & ask, the only way you can get one is jump in the pool and go to the pool bar then you get there attention, breakfast is very average and in the reception area is very large they need to have more seating there, the only seats they have is down the steps near pick up and drop off.

I have been to Bali 13 time. This has been the worst stay I have experienced so far. This is not a 5 star hotel by far. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are not 5 star worthy, drinks and food is expensive compared to everywhere else I have stayed. Seriously the most expensive stay I have had in Bali and the most poor quality. !!!! I had 500aud stollen from my safe!!!!!! My worst stay in Bali by far!

There was nothing about this place not to like. The staff were super helpful, creative in their daily activities, kind and thoughtful. The grounds were immaculate and the food at the restaurants was well priced and quality products. We ended up at this hotel after leaving a terrible experience at our previous hotel early and I’m so happy we chose Discovery Kartika! The property is beautiful and the staff are extremely helpful and kind. Our room was very nice. I felt the bathroom did need a little updating, but nothing where I would need to change rooms and honestly, other guests had mentioned that in their reviews so I was prepared. The breakfast buffet included with our room was exceptional with so much to choose from. The area is very safe with so much shopping nearby and plenty of food options if you don’t want to eat on site. I would stay here again when returning to Bali.

You cannot beat this hotel for value and quality. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pool is huge, with a pool bar and daily aquarobics. The staff go out of their way to make your holiday the best it can be. There are planned daily activities and evening entertainment every day. There is a choice of great restaurants onsite, but also in the surrounding area. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I've ever had, with a huge and varied choice daily. It is not far from the airport, so no need to sit for hours in the legendary Bali traffic. There is a boardwalk at the back of the hotel and you can walk right into the heart of Kuta from there. It is also an iconic location to witness the glorious evening sunsets. Great place to stay!

Excellent location. Close to shopping mall, markets, restaurants and convenience stores. Good buffet breakfast and nice pool area. Great gym. Band and singing every night was too loud. Gardening at 7am woke us up. Showers need an upgrade.

This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed. We went for a villa, which is one of the more extravagant options, and we were not disappointed. Totally worth it. We had a beach view and sunset view. We also had a private pool, and an extra “tree house” in the garden with air con, a double bed, and a TV - which the kids loved. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, throughout the hotel. And the villa comes with its own “butler” team - who were amazing. The main pool at the hotel has a swim up bar, which was fun and quite social. The restaurants and bars were all nice. And we used the shop quite a bit. The hotel was like an oasis of calm when compared to the hustle and bustle of the area. But it was nice to get out - just 1 min to the mall, and 5 mins along the promenade to the beach which was lovely for swimming. I would be very happy to come back to Kartika Plaza if I ever make it to Bali again.
