1) Our stay was disappointing in many ways. When we called the owner to confirm our booking made through Hotels.com, he said he has no relations with Hotels.com and the price shown on Hotels.com is incorrect due to a technical error & quoted additional INR5000, but we insisted on the price mentioned at Hotel.com website. He refused and asked us to pay an advance-7000/. directly to his bank account, which we did in order to confirm the booking. On the day of checkin, we insisted the front desk caretaker that we pay only the balance to the Hotels.com price. Fortunately he agreed for the actual total price as we showed the Hotels.com email
2) The road to reach this resort is pathetic. Private operators refuse to carry the guests due to the rocky, martian surface roads(no road), Vehicles carrying small loads can afford to rally on these paths, but most private operators refuse.
3) Frequent power cuts. My wife got stuck in the lift for 15 minutes and nearly suffocated until some other guest kept the doors slightly ventilated by holding the doors by hands to give a small airgap. No emergency buttons in lift, no battery backup. Caretaker had gone away to buy diesel to start the generator.
4) Pillow covers, towels, rooms, are never cleaned due to understaffing (1 person acts as caretaker, receiptionist, chef, cleaning manager, service boy.. occasional local cleaning staff come who may also be underpaid. one request cleaning for our 3 nights stay
