"Everything is perfect! Staff is so awesome & Ryokan is well maintained. Only concerns are internet connection is bad & the constant phone call buzzing. Our check out is 10am but by 9:40am they’d started buzzing us."

"Quiet location just a short walk from the train station. Superb ryokan experience with modern amenities throughout. If you’re fortunate enough to get a room with a private onsen, you can enjoy all manner of luxury beyond the available public onsen facilities. A great option to spoil yourself, if even for a night or two. "

"Everything about Nihon No Ashitaba was so incredibly beautiful, serene, and thoughtful. They offer a free shuttle everyday to Yufuin station where you can walk, shop, eat, and enjoy Yufuin. We were greeted promptly after riding the Yufuin No Mori from Hakata Station.They have multiple private onsens and a large open air hot spring you can reserve a time everyday if you wanted. "It’s a very small Ryokan. Nothing much around the area. To only enjoy the room and onsen. Basic necessities. Quiet and has lots of greenery. Get to enjoy the traditional feel of a Japanese onsen. Transportation & food not included."

"It was a great opportunity to experience Japanese vibes and cuisine. The only issue I had was the cleanliness. The humidifier had terrible mold and the public bath wasn’t clean. It wasn’t even as clean as cheaper business hotels. "

"Everything about staying here was great! I only speak English and Korean and the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating! Especially the manager at the front desk. I got to meet and have simple conversations with the staff. Even the ones that only speak Japanese. They were all friendly and kind regardless of language barriers. "Room was a bit tight for 4 people. Normally the beds are prepared for sleeping at the end of the day but it was not the case in this hotel. Dinner and breakfast were good- big spread and delicious. "

"A boutique hotel with excellent service and yummy meals. The staff are friendly and helpful, glad to stay in this hotel. Yet, strongly suggest transportation service from JR station as it’s a bit far and difficult to walk to the hotel with heavy suitcases in winter time."
