No on-site parking, but plenty of paid parking nearby just around the corner. For the price, it was a very nice hotel. They include a traditional Japanese bath, with limited hours, but the rooms also include a toilet/shower. The standard room is comparable to a business hotel with a small walkway from the door to the bathroom with the bed dominating about half of the room. All of the needed amenities were included and the desk is staffed 24/7. Happy with my stay.

Breakfast buffet is good. Walking distance to Kumamoto castle and huge bus terminal where connects to various cities in Kyushu. The bathroom in the room is tiny. Need to use the big tub on the other floor.

A great hotel under the right circumstances
Ok let's go through the negatives first. The hotel is dated, and it shows its age. The lobby, the hallway all remind you of the 80s. The washroom bath tub has unremovable stains. It doesn't come off but you can sure see it. Oh yeah the hotel is within walking distance from a cremation place too :) But that's where the negatives end. The hotel though dated, is still relatively clean. Staff is very helpful and courteous. The location is good, 10 min walk from city center. The big bath hall is nice. And the breakfast is what saves it. For a very reasonable Y1700 or so you get a very, very nice all you can eat breakfast. It's so delicious and you even get a terrace /city view. I'd stay at the hotel just for the breakfast. Coniadeing the lower price I think this hotel is a good deal, but it depends on the circumstances. It can really work for some but I can also see this may not work for some.

Just OK by a Thin Margin
Hotel looks tired from the outside, but the interior is much better. No parking, but there is coin parking for ¥900 per day adjacent to the property. Bathroom has the tub/sink combination that is all too common in old Japanese hotels, and simply outdated by today’s standards. Location is great - short walk to downtown. Biggest complaint were the bedsheets - rough enough to be unpleasant.

Overall was good, just one thing I don't understand the reason why my friend husdband didn't give access to the onsen? At first we thought only lady onsen is available, but later we find out actually there's a gent onsen too.

Too bad an experience in Kumamoto. No staff in this hotel can communicate in english. Room too noisy, i coukd hear clearly toilet flyshing, open luggages, bathing in toilet, chatting in rooms, too noisy for a stay. No privacy for chatting or discussion. Toilet flush too bad, hard to use. No carpark space available, Ask for additional charges for parking. All staff could not speak or hear english, unable to communicate. Too bad an experience for english and chinese tourists. Location too bad, my car turning round snd round to find this hotel, no english name put up for tourists.

pro: the whole building are new and the staff can speak english, near to tram station. room attached bathroom. with tv, kettle and strong wifi. bed are comfortable, aircond are cold enough. they have public bath room. con: surrounding no restaurant. door room is not soundproof. price a bit costly

The hotel service was courteous and helpful. They were able to hold our luggage since we arrived before the 3pm checkin time. This allowed us to go explore the area. We had the time to visit the Kumamoto Castle and take the tram around Kumamoto city.

桜町通のバスターミナルから徒歩１０分以内にあり、空港や阿蘇、天草に行く方には便利です。建物自体は古いところはありますが、清潔にしていて不快感はなかったです。スタッフも丁寧な対応でとてもよかったです。 私が一番良いと思ったのは、夜遅くまでやっている大浴場付きという点です。 朝食もご当地名物の太平燕があり、楽しめます。 個人的に改善してほしいのは、カードキー対応していないところです。 値段もすごく高いわけではないので、ビジネスホテルとしては十分満足できると思います。
