"This is a modest Guest House in Durres, which is a small beach town one hour west of Tirana and the airport TIA. The owners are a retired couple who live downstairs the property. There is a language problem for the couple but their daughter comes to the rescue. They are all very friendly and helpful. Of course, there is no daily housecleaning service as in a hotel but they ask you if you need anything. The area is safe with a few restaurants and mainly luxury hotels. The beach is only...

" We stayed at the villa for a week and loved it. The villa is beautifully renovated, with all the mod cons you need (including a dishwasher!) The outside space was lovely too, lots of seating areas with lovely lighting etc...The pool was enjoyed by everyone, ( even the bigger kids age 14 & 18). "Not the apartment advertised. Bait and switch. We were attacked by parking agents. He attempted to hit us with his car and threatened me. There were no blankets and the one that was there had human feces on it! We told the lady and she left it on the floor and never cleaned! Beware!!!"

"Lovely owner. He goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable. Great breakfast selection with an outdoor patio to eat. Room and bathroom was comfortablely sided. On site parking. Mini market very close. About a block to the Oceanside boardwalk. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at the sunrise hotel. We were looked after well by our hosts and breakfast was excellent. Our room was clean and we were close to many restaurants and shops. TBH I was not sure how we would find Albania but I would definitely recommend taking the time to come here. Lots to see in Durres, we were here before the main season but the advantage is that it's a bit cooler. A lovely surprise was the gift from the hotel owners when we checked out. Thanks so much."
