"Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von der Lodge. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW eigentlich unzumutbar und bei vorherigem Regen nicht machbar! Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr schön, aber das war’s dann auch schon! Die Unterkünfte sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen einer Modernisierung. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber nicht sehr geschult und wirkt teilweise unbeholfen. Das Abendessen (in Buffetform !) war wohlwollend betrachtet bestenfalls durchschnittlich, das Frühstück...

"Was left stranded outside the gate with no access no instructions. Gate would not open even though wr drove up to it. Phone lines dead. Had no option but to drive away feeling very sad and extremely dissapointed. Drove off into the dark desert looking for a last minute booking which ended up being 1.5 hours drive away. Management said no refund once they finally contacted us in a new telephone number that neither us or hotels.com had been provided with. Still waiting for some sort of apology...

This place is THE gold standard in luxury safaris and Riverdene ensured it worked for children too without compromising quality for adults too. "Road is a bit bumpy to get there but wow well worth it if your looking for piece and unique experience. The food was nice but a little over priced i thought for such small amount of food. Otherwise amazing. Driving on the main road i saw just as many animals on the Addo land as what i did driving around it for 3 hours. Wish i'd stayed another day. "
