The house is a located in a quaint lane just off the main road that connects to Kranjska Gora etc. The surroundings are very peaceful and silent. My wife and I found this to be an ideal location as it is close enough to the towns etc., but still away from the hustle-bustle. It is also fairly close to Bovec and the Soca valley, and Lake Bohinj.
All the amenities were as described in the listing. We were very comfortable for the entire 2 weeks that we stayed here.
We visited in mid-June. There is access to lakes, forests/woods, waterfalls, hikes, bike routes, scenic drives, mountain views etc. The area is not very crowded (compared to Chamonix, Dolomites etc.), so we really appreciated this. A few highlights:
Scenic drives - vrscic pass, the country road that goes via Radovna to Lake Bohinj, the pass that goes via Tarvisio to Lake Predil and then down to Bovec, the Soca river valley. Vrata valley is also worth visiting.
Cycling - the dedicated path that goes towards Italy (lake Fusine is a nice stopover), and I also rode up the Vrsic pass (which was a true gem)
Waterfalls - Martuljski which is close the hours, plus many more..
Lakes – Bohinj and Lake Predil are a must visit
Hikes – from the top of vrsic pass (slemenova spica, and the area around Postarski Dom), Trenta (the trail along the river Krajcarica and then towards mount Triglav)
Restaurants – Triangle, Figo, Charlie (cakes), Shanghai, Psnak (Rodovna), Gostilna Zelenci, Bovska Kuhnca (lovel street food in Bovec)
