"The hotel is visibly old and could do with a refurbishment. The room was spacious but primitive. The restaurant is recently overtaken by two younger chefs and is excellent. The hotel and restaurant are seperate businesses. The hotel staff was kind but forgetful. My partner is intolerant to Gluten but despite having called in advance and been reassured that glutenfree bread was available, it was still forgotten twice at breakfast and long waiting as consequence. My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent.
