"The hotel is in a great location for local restaurants and exploribg Durres. Unfortunately, this hotel did not mention that a lot of the facilities were closed to it being off season before we arrived. There was no notice that the menu is fixed for half board and the staff did not ask our dietary requirements before serving the food. "We had a lovely stay at Melia Durrës- we stayed in a garden facing room which was lovely and quiet. The pools are amazing - very clean and relaxing! Good activities for kids (park, pools, kids club etc) The only downside is that there’s not much to do if the weather isn’t great. Perhaps an indoor arcade or small cinema would be good. Food is good (lots of variety) - but timings can be a little restrictive. Could do with a 24 hour cafe or something for those with kids."

"The hotel has definately exceeded our expectations. It's clean with spacious rooms and a very attentive and friendly service. Due to the hotels size it's not overcrowded with guests and therefore is quite and peaceful with enough sunbeds. The food at the restaurant was delicious, as well as the cocktails. "The last time I stayed in Albania, I stayed in Tirana, and it wasn't exactly the right fit, but Durres was precisely what I was looking for. The walk along the sea is just what I wanted and the walk into Durres was a little more challenging than I originally thought, but ultimately a good stretch of the legs. I had the best salmon at the hotel restaurant, exquisite. I would definitely go back."
