Yes, you cannot expect much from a hostel but, the hostel is not that cheap to begin with. I have paid cheaper for better hostels. This was definitely not worth our money.
We booked the hostel for our 3 days 2 nights in Hkg. Day 1, I was given an email telling us to head over to this one building and to key in the pass code to enter the Panda Hostel area but I was not given a room yet. We used GPS to find the way to the building. When we arrived the building we went to the level mentioned and only to be greeted by a rude lady. Saying that we are at the wrong building and our room is in a different building. She had just sent the email to me. So nevermind, I checked my email and then we went to the building that our room is. Reached the placed, and we had trouble unlocking the door. They used this QR code website, which is kinda cool because, technology.. but! It is troublesome! Took a while to enter the room. Day 2, the nightmare began. After a long day outside, we came back to the hostel and well just wanted to take a shower, eat and relax, but the hostel had other plans for us. THE QR CODE WEBSITE DID NOT PRODUCE ANY QR CODE! I kept refreshing the page and all it says was "No Lock". We were locked out for an hour plus. No one to call. The contact shown had no reply, no answers. Walked to the previous building and thank god the boss of the building helped us to contact the person. Her voice was like she just had woken up and she was rude over the phone! BAD PLACE TO GO TO!
