"Lovely greeting on arrival. I was shown to the room I booked expecting to see a slightly tired room as it was advertised as budget studio. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean bright and comfortable room with all the amenities I would need. Despite it being advertised as no parking the lady I spoke to offered to let me park my motorcycle in the garage. This room was perfect for me I would definitely recommend it. "

"Perfectly located in the middle of the main street within walking distance of everything including the beautiful harbour. Was looked after with an upgrade and early check in with a huge swim scheduled for the following day. Nice and quiet with comfortable bed too."

"Absolutely amazing grounds, clean and efficient parking/offerings. Bbq area is always immaculate and gas in bottle, coin BBQ available also. Pool water and surrounding area is always clean, picnic tables and new sun lounge chairs, flowers and timed lights give the grounds comfort and security. Pet friendly accommodation, modern amenities, ac/heater on wall clean filters, tv abd hot water. Sound proof windows/walls even though close to traffic and steady guest flow. Sensitive sleepers will find rest! Never a loud neighbor or noise complaint at night (even a room full next door after wine fest Feb 2025). All guests responsible and respectful of quiet enjoyment. No dogs barking, no loud music, safe and popular area right off main bridge. Dodson's Beer Garden a 2 min walk away (local favorite,14 beers on tap). Bakery shop across from main office with milk, hot pies, fresh donuts and cabinet food, free books to borrow. Engaging and informative hotel staff and well executed regular upkeep, complete with after service room inspections for new check-in guests (high standards!). Free on-site car wash, covered BBQ area, kids play area, open areas for pet walks, outdoor pool and indoor spa, riverside, communal kitchen, clothes washer with soap for sale at desk. Incrediblely comfortable bed, clean, crisp linens available daily, and firm-soft pillows. Great place to rest and recover, or a stop in for goodness and peace of mind. Highly recommend for a long or short term stay!"

"This is not a fancy place, but it had lots of space and a nice little kitchen. We could finally spread out and it was well lit, which is a rarity. Convenient location walking to restaurants, grocery and coffee shops."

"The Scenic Hotel Marlborough was absolutely adorable!! It had super easy parking and was in a very walkable area. We enjoyed relaxing at the hotel the entire time. Dinner at the restaurant was fantastic, and their wine selection was top-notch. The bar staff were knowledgeable with great recommendations. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional. I loved staying here and would definitely go back if I had the chance."
