"Interesting place and very nice people. The only thing is that I arrived at 8 pm there was nobody, just a sign with a phone number and a key box. Hotels.com said open till 10 pm. There was not proper light to read the pincode so a smart phone was useable. But ot should be a bit more customer friendly in the november darkness. Peter"

"We arrived late in the evening, on a short notice trip. We were warmly welcomed and quickly had our rooms arranged. We left early the next morning, and returned early evening. We ate in the restaurant, it was quiet but friendly, the food was tasty. We checked out the next morning, again the reception staff were very efficient and friendly. There is a health spa and other facilities, but we never had time to enjoy them. The village looked very nice and quiet too, but again we never were able to look around."

"Excellent location for an overnight stop enroute to Denmark and with the bonus of a great view overlooking the Kiel Canal. The staff were some of the friendliest and helpful we have met on our travels. "

"Great little spot for a simple overnight stay when passing through on a bike tour. Check-in via keys in a lock-box, clear instructions on the door with a number to call. Very friendly host on the phone, room was basic but clean and well prepared, wifi code laid out. We didn't know this before booking, but there is also a small courtyard through the entrance hall where bikes can be left (they need lifting up a few steps), which is ideal if you don't want to leave them locked up on the street. Good option for a cheap and cheerful overnight stop."

"There was a Golden Anniversary party the night we were scheduled to stay and the hostess noted music might go until 3 am. They found us a beautiful substitute location that my wife and I utterly enjoyed - and a very, very quiet night! I so appreciated the effort to find us great night of sleep."
