We stayed for 1 night. Hotel is located a short distance from the beach with many spas and restaurants around.
The service was lacking. While waiting to check-in, we decided to have a drink. A limited menu of cold drinks which consisted of fruit juice, lime juice and lassi but they did not have any of it at 12 noon. Only had tea or coffee.
The room was large but not cleaned properly and the floor was sandy. Bathroom had bar soap and a moisturizer. We usually travel with our own toiletries, but forgot toothpaste and had to request several times before getting it at 10pm.
We had a room on the first floor which overlooked the backwaters. I was admiring the view with my 2 yr old when a staff came to relieve himself against a glass window on the ground floor. As it was a glass window, we got the full front and back view of him peeing there and I had to explain to my curious child what this man was doing and why it was wrong.
Next, was the in-house spa. I made an appointment 1 hr in advance and came punctually but masseuse did not arrive even after 35 mins of waiting. Finally, I cancelled and went to a nearby spa instead.
At night, we found tiny roaches in the cupboard. Next day when we went down for bfast at 8.10am, it wasn’t ready even though we were told bfast timings is from 8-1030am. We were told to wait till 8.30am but it still wasn’t ready. No juice again even for bfast, no cutlery set on tables, not even water. Truly disappointing.
