At the turn of the 20th Century before most of the Frontier trails had been blazed West, Knoxville was on a growth pace similar to Atlanta and Chicago because of it's location on the Tennessee River and extensive railroads to transport timber, sand, rock, and other vital materials that helped build America. Located in the heart of Appalachia, Knoxville soon became the HUB and gathering place for Riverboat Captains, Railroad Engineers, Civil War Generals, Mob Bosses, famous athletes, actors, and musicians. Many of the original buildings and structures still remain, along with all of the stories and history. From historic taverns, pubs, museums, theatres, studios, and stadiums downtown, to battlefields, farms, and homes in the suburbs, you will not have to go far to find a great story of Knoxville's past or it's future. Immerse yourself in the local maker culture and fully experience why we were voted in the top 5 of the most popular.

The only thing that was an issue was the fridge that didn’t have water and ice connected. Small thing. Great house. Perfect for game day

Nice inside...
Property and neighborhood disappointing. Tons of traffic and trains. The house itself is cute and well done. We enjoyed staying here.

Cute place, neighborhood ehh
Upon arrival, the area is a bit sketchy. This is by far one of the best looking houses in the neighborhood. The train runs nearby which scared the daylights out of us at 4am. The neighbor had some unusual behaviors and friends. The property though was close to our event, the backyard fireplace was a nice bonus. The bathroom was a bit small for any toiletries I brought. I also wish there was more than one mirror in the house.

Working Vacation
The house was the perfect size for our family, very clean, well-appointed! The game room was perfect for my husband to work in while our daughter was at UT for a class all week. The location was ideal for getting her to UT, and we were also close to wherever we wanted to run. We hope to be back again! Thanks so much for making our stay such a breeze!

Great cottage
I had a very nice stay at North Knoxville cottage. The home was clean and decorated in a manner so as to make it very comfortable and cozy. The host was responsive to my questions and helped with some minor needs I had when I first checked in. The location makes it very easy to get into downtown or the university. Area was quiet and safe.

Perfect!
We really enjoyed our stay here. It was roomy and comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. If the weather were a bit warmer we would loved to have sat on the front and back porch or out in the large back yard. Very convenient 6-7 minute drive to downtown and Old City. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Beautiful
We had the best week. This cozy place felt just like home. With all the extra little comfort of Home rock was great. Kept checking on my daughter to make sure we didn’t need anything and her recovery was going well. It was so nice to stay here. I can’t wait to come back.

Very nice little house - well stocked kitchen and coffee bar! Comfortable beds! The ice maker/water on fridge wasn’t working and Rock brought over bottled water and ice - very accommodating! We ubered a lot to and from UT - no problems.

My husband and I came to visit our daughter at UT and go to the football game. This house worked perfect for us. It is close to UT and downtown and everything we wanted to do. Lots of thoughtful amenities throughout this lovely home made our stay special. We loved the coffee bar and the back deck/backyard fire pit area. Thanks for a wonderful weekend!
