"Was a lovely hotel with lovely staff in a nice location, I do like the kings inn hotels but admittedly the bathroom wasn’t very clean nor modern and it did smell a little, but it was still good for the price we paid to stay there. The bed was comfortable and we had a sleep without any disturbances. Also breakfast was nice, and the bar maids were very nice and it was very calm and chilled to sit and have a drink in the evening. "We stayed here as a couple but also as part of a larger family group, including my niece and nephew (12 and 8 respectively). Our room was the Illingworth room. It was huge, facing out across the road to the lovely old church. Road noise was minimal and the bed extremely comfy with good pillows which were not too soft, perfect for us. We slept well. En suite was well laid out and tastefully decorated. A few hangers were on a rail for our clothes and a hairdryer, iron and ironing board were also...

Food was delicious - we ate at the hotel for dinner - having the 'pigs' in blanket sharing starter and then both steak pies. Next morning - breakfast was great - although there was no 'bacon' for us - the server compensated by offering us additional sausages - so it wasn't too much of a disappointment. "
