"Definitely different. Beautiful African beadwork, artwork and spectacular wood furnishings. One could spend hours soaking it all up. Our arrival was disappointing. Taken in through a side door to our room with no orientation about the palace its surroundings local places to eat. Exterior beautiful gardens neglected. Viewing deck total overgrown. Old rusty ladder lying their. Lounge pool dirty and definitely not five stars although it could be. All out door seating areas too dirty to sit on. A...

"Staying at Southey House was a superb experience! My hosts were friendly & kind - always willing to assist. By chance, I met with the proprietor of this establishment - Like her staff, she was ultra friendly & inquired about my stay experience. I informed her that the parking was a bit tight for more than 3 vehicles - she however assured me that there are plans to expand. Southey House is located in a dead-ended street, leading to a security entrance of a nearby college - I guess this...

"It seemed the property was not ready for guests. The rooms and shelves were not very clean. The sink leaked and the bath drainage took a long time to drain. The stoves for cooking did not have knobs for turning it on. You could hardly see with the light in the bathroom when we arrived. The sofa was torn and squeaked. Linen & towels did not look fresh & clean (very old)."
