It’s right outside Edinburgh so you don’t have to pay ridiculous prices but you also don’t have to drive far to get to city center plus you are getting a much nicer hotel for less and to me that’s always a plus.

Relaxing retreat
"Away from the city business, but just a bus ride from Edinburgh, this hotel is a nice retreat. Beautiful grounds, quiet and spacious rooms, and two restaurants on site. We were able to unwind before are long trip home!"

"Well positioned hotel and good sized apartment which we would use again. Our only criticism related to the quality of the instructions for using the equipment - we never got the hob to work properly, there were no instructions for the dishwasher and there was insufficient"

It is a ways out of town which is nice and peaceful, but it was a little pricey to take taxis anywhere.

If you are traveling by car, it's worth to stay in this beautiful hotel outside of Edinburg and just take a bus/train into the city.
