"The interior and the garden are very pleasant. The advert did not make it clear that the cottage is next to a road of fast flowing traffic, and that parking is next to the road, which is dangerous for getting a dog from the car to the cottage. There are no dog walks nearby. The inclusion of the hot tub drew us in, but we were not going to pay an extra £100 to use it. Those sleeping in the double room found the room too hot, and noisy with passing traffic. It was impossible to use Netflix. On...

"What a beautiful cottage, very impressed spotless & well equipped. Only issue was high back chair that was damaged with no note to say it had been noticed and or reported, we emailed Cottages.com but no reply ! "Ideal location with charming village area nearby. Easy walk to local pub and to the water. Flat was spacious and well equipped; but could have used a bit more maintenance and some air freshener (near the sea, so a bit of a damp, musty smell). It was a bit farther from central Edinburg (~40 min) than I had expected; but the quaint village feel of the area was well worth the few extra minutes drive. All in all a nice place to support local sight seeing and day trips."

"The location is close to all the places we wanted to see (10-15min walk). We had the castle view which was nice. We were able to walk to/from the station comfortably.
